If you don't use this, your polishing pads will get contaminated faster and you'll need to keep changing pads to accomplish great results, so using this is more efficient and you'll get better results faster. If your applying a ceramic coating this will help it chemically bond better. Review: Works very well. High end results without the high end price - This product works very well. I used this product on my 1year old car which is washed and waxed often and was amazed at how well it worked. I had partially decontaminated the paint about 5 days ago using a diluted solution of BDX (by 3D detailing) followed by some Griot's wheel cleaner so I wasn't expecting to get much reaction. Within a minute of spraying the Meguiars the whole trunk was reacting and bleeding. I went ahead and sprayed the rest of the car and got tons of reaction. Even on areas which had been previously cleaned with a similar product. It rinsed off easily and the car looked great. I washed the car when I was done. Great results on wheels although my wheels are clean. I'll clean someone else's dirty wheels and post more pictures later. Yes, the product stinks just like all the iron removers that I've used.
