What is this product used for?

I use this product in my pencil drawings , for large areas like a sky and clouds I dip my blending stump into the powder instead of using a pencil . An artist sometimes will use a brush into the product and will "paint" a picture , graphite powder is a pencil without the clay . Hope this helps you understand the use of the product .

can this beused as a lubricant - for locks, etc. like the graphite powder that comes in tubes?

I wouldn't recommend it. Graphite for drawing comes in a range of hardnesses, for different darkness of marks. Graphite for use as a lubricant is very fine, very hard, and probably screened for impurities. Artist graphite powder is meant for drawing on paper and such, and is usually courser, medium hardness or soft, depending on the darkness desired. While lubricant certainly will make marks on paper, art supplies probably are not good as mechanical tools.

Would like to know if you can use this product inside a powder measure for reloading? If you can use this first before you put in powder to make sure

we used it to dry out soom powder that had gotten damp and it work out fine.

For those using this on your Mandalorian armor, once it's rubbed and buffed in thoroughly will it rub off without a clear top coat?

Wet/tacky fingers can make a very small amount rub off. HOWEVER…adding a clear coat will greatly diminish the shiny luster of the graphite… So it’s a “catch 22” situation. You can have the Shiny graphite only that Might rub off a little bit… or you can have the more durable clear coated graphite that is less shiny.

Excellent for adding a metallic finish to prints and models

I originally bought this for use with 3D printed models and it's worked brilliantly for that purpose.By rubbing a small amount of the graphite powder into prints I was able to give silver-coloured models a much more convincing metallic finish. It worked especially well on things like swords, robots and metallic characters where I wanted a bit of extra shine and realism without painting.A single tub also goes a very long way. Mine lasted around three years of occasional 3D printing projects before I needed to think about replacing it.Overall, it's been excellent value for money and I'd happily recommend it to artists, model makers and 3D printing enthusiasts looking to add a metallic effect to their work.

Hochwertig, sparsam, inspirierend

Hochwertiges Künstlergraphit wurde pünktlich geliefert. Die Menge hatte ich etwas unterschätzt - ich werde sehr lange damit arbeiten können. Das Graphit lässt sich gut mit Pinsel oder Wattestäbchen auftragen und ist sehr sparsam anzuwenden. Das Material gibt einem neuen Gestaltungsspielraum und ist daher sehr inspirierendDefinitiv nicht für Kinder geeignet!!!
