Contains great, classic, professional magic *by A***L on Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2016* This is a great starter set for beginning magicians, whether they are 7 years old or 70--My seven year old, as well as my sixteen year old love this set. This set includes real professional magic, but like with all things worth doing, an investment in mastering the skills required to perform the gems in this set is required. With magic, the key thing is in the performance, and delivery of the presentation--frequently in magic, the 'funny stuff' happens long before the performance ends, and it becomes just a matter of milking the effect from there. With a little practice, patience, and dedication you can really astonish audiences with this set. Some buyers complained about the quality of the pieces, but keep in mind that the props were not designed to be flung against a wall, or danced on. With appropriate and mindful handling, this set will really bring loads of fun for years to come. I suppose my only complaint is that the phantom deck does not work as expected, while it works great as a svengali deck, the coating it needs for spreading seems to not have been applied appropriately--I have a phantom deck from another set which works just fine so I know it is not my handling. The kit has a bunch of great tricks. I think you are getting you're money's worth out of this peoduct. My only complaint is the instruction book. It appears to be written for adults. I would have preferred a dumbed down version that used more graphics to teach my son how to do the tricks. Like I said, he is on the younger side, so... My guess is this magic kit will gather dust for a few years and then he will get back into it.
