Edwards spills his thoughts and heart onto the pages - and while he's funny, what's more impressive to me is his authenticity and vulnerability. To his credit (and his family's), he gives you an unfiltered look into the joy and madness of raising young children. As the dad of a 3 year-old and newborn, I nodded and laughed along with the author, remembering experiences and anticipating those to come. On many occasions I'd read passages aloud to my wife who responded often with "See?" "I'm not the only one" and knowing smirks and eye rolls.And while Clint's kids are often at the center of the craziness, it's his interactions with his wife, Mel, that took center stage for me and provided the most meaningful and thought-provoking anecdotes. She passed it on to me, and I also enjoyed it. The writer is humorous, and he covers many of the occurrences that happen in a young family, and with the laughter comes a sense of "Phew! I thought I was the only one that was worrying about that. I feel better now!" As a former librarian, I would have to say he is probably not the most accomplished writer, and the proofreading could have been better - but it was an enjoyable read, and a great gift to give to a new mother or father. In fact, I wish my son-in-law had read it since there are several chapters where the author acknowledges his appreciation for what his wife does to support him and their children. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Writing and A Good Laugh *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 7, 2015* I haven't finished this book yet, but whenever I read it I have the hardest time putting it down. I just love how honest Clint is about the good, the bad, and the ugly. It's so relatable to anyone who has kids or has babysat kids or has spent even just five minutes with kids. This book gets down to the nitty gritty and shows that having a baby (or three) is not all baby smiles and giggles. Clint shows that both parenthood and marriage take work but as long as both partners are willing to come together as a team, then there is so much joy to be found in both. His writing is clever, descriptive and his stories had me laughing so much!
