Is this case for the ipad pro 11 inch 2020? because i saw someone say that they got their case for the 2018 version.

This case is for the 2020 iPad Pro. It is possible that some people received 2018-compatible only cases because of stock issues on the side of the seller. Note that you should be able to comfortably buy any color other than Sand Pink or White with total confidence that it will fit the 2020 iPad since those colors (minus the two mentioned) were made for the 2020 iPad and later.

This case costs five times what some of the other cases cost. Is it really that much better, or are you paying for the name? If it is, why?

Yes the Apple folio is well worth the extra cost. It is sleek, fitting perfectly. The quality, texture and feel of the folio are amazing. It makes opening and closing the iPad easy and allows the apple pencil to be connected. Also you can use the cover as a stand. I highly recommend it.

does it hold the pencil?

I don’t think so. I don’t have the pencil. I am currently using the cover that has the built in keyboard. I think this one can hold the pencil.

Not worth the money

Having received this the only different to that of an identical £10 case also available on Amazon is the absence of an Apple logo. Save the expense! Quality is okay for an Apple product.

I bought this case and I dropped the iPad from desk height the case fell off completely shattering the screen and apple don’t fix screens on iPads so I’ve had to buy a whole new iPad :( absolute waste of money you can buy one for £10 that does a better job
