Then, clear coat a few times. Buff with compound, polish, and wax. Used boat varnish on the grill flag. The new hood locks to replace the old latches is a pain to install with the grill off. Used a small piece of finishing clay on the tip of a screw driver to connect the bolt of the driver side latch. It’s the most difficult side. Happy with the results. The only issue I had with the full install is the clips. I watched several videos and none said this one trick. The clips on the grill did not slip easily onto the Jeep. BUT the clips on the Jeep worked perfect. I had to remove the clips which was a pain, though once on the Jeep spots the grill easily clicked into place. The clips are like little teeth. Once gripped won’t budge. Due to removing the grill and the black caps I had to use the original caps as the others wouldn’t come out once installed. The original do. I’d recommend keeping your original black cap tabs in case you find yourself in a pickle during install. Or, you can buy a kit with extras. Amazing price. Amazing look. Personalize with or without paint or clear coat. Due to reviews discussing rust elected to treat the metal grill.
