Performs quite well compared to more expensive equipment. An essential tool for reloading black powder shells UPDATE: Still working…but after only a mere 250 rounds, the roll crimper and shell base holder opposite of it have begun to wear. The loaded shell being crimped will sometimes spin too while I rotate the handle, and I have to hold both it and apply pressure to the handle. An odd manual of arms. Both halves are made of aluminum, but riveted in. So, replacing them probably isn’t worth it.

So I'm very pleased with this. I've been wanting to make my own mold for rifled slugs. 3d printing has helped me with a lot of designs and an ability to form a mold matrix. My issue has been the star crimping from 8shot shells. I just emptied the lead out and put the slugs in. However getting it closed we nearly impossible and very frustrating. I had to trim a bit of each shells plastic star crimp. Not a whole lot but just enough so it would actually roll well and tight. Then I'd bring em to this guy. It's super easy to use and I get a perfect crimp every time. If I want to reload shot then I'd just plop a piece of poster board paper on top then crimp with this tool. It's super easy to use and I have not had any deformation of the brass base of the shell. This tool has been useful when trying to load different slug designs in. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone. I checked a famous auction site and found these for $75 pretty much, even used. So the price here is perfect. I wouldn't spend more than $60 for a tool like this personally. Or I should say I wouldn't have. Now that I see how useful and beneficial this tool is I probably would be willing to spend more. This makes reloading your own shells super easy without buying a bunch of super expensive bench tools and equipment. 10 out of 5 stars for me.

Works great, but dose come loose from table. Check after 5 or 6 shell.

i started loading slugs myself as a hobby. i nice to know what your loading. i mostly load the AQ slug from ballistic products. To me, this thing is just as fast if not faster than a drill press crimper They look like factory roll crimps . I might buy another one just to have a spare. Because, For a while they were hard to find .

Works great for roll crimping takes a little practice just be sure to use a silicone based lubricant like one shot to lube the top of the case rims to avoid burns or melting of the plastic.

Received the item very fast from the supplier. I haven't had the opportunity to use it as yet, though it appears that it should do the job of roll crimping shells quite well.

Fast shipping, there is a learning a curve, need to put just a lil bit of lube in crimper head. Once your get hang of it, died decent roll crimps
