Yes the value for the money is worth it. Little to no breakage leads because they are centered in the pencil

The 6H is a bit "harder" than HB, but I like how these work when sketching on canvas for my oil painting projects. I can shade things very easily, and with the light touch, I can do barely there lines; with a medium touch I can emphasize things; with a heavy touch, well...you get the idea.

Excellent product with a consistent product quality pencil to pencil, year over year. This pencil is excellent for making the light marks that need to be there, but that no one needs to see.

Staedtler pencils have been my go-to pencils for many years. The leads are very resistant to breaking and these soft drawing pencils allow a very broad range of values. Just great quality pencils.

Staedtler Mars Lumograph Graphite are probably the best graphite pencils out there. This first time I bought Staedtler pencils on Amazon. These pencils arrive 24hr after my order (fast!). However, the package of 12 pencils arrived in an Amazon envelope. Two the pencils have badly fractured leads (about every 1.5cm). The 9B pencils are soft lead graphite and can be fragile. You'd be better off ordering from Blick or other dedicated art store where they package the pencils with bubble wrap placed in a larger box for shipment rather than an envelope. I can still use the pencils as I do not have 9B but with shorter exposed lead. Staedtler pencils five stars, packaging and shipment three stars (hence four stars average overall). Since this came from Amazon's warehouse, so other buyers might see different packaging.

They last, they are easily sharpened without breaking

The pencil lead is a great and accurate (9B)consistency and very soft. There is always a danger of improper handling causing pencil lead breakage but so far this is not the case with this batch. Pencils were packed well and are a quality product. Very satisfied!

I do charcoal sketching and I love, LOVE every kind of drawing pencil made by Staedtler-Mars. The pencils, erasers and sharpener I bought are all Staedtler-Mars made and they are the top of the line of their respective items. I derive so much inner peace and enjoyment from drawing and it is a comfort to know there are Staedtler-Mars products to help me improve as an artist. Thank you for staying in business. I use them for note taking in the field and for diagrams, map work and math problems I prefer to work through on paper. Perfect if you like medium soft pencils. I prefer these to HBs. Note that it lacks an eraser on the pencil end. I find those to be useless anyway but others may feel different. Glad to see they have not changed in 40 years.

These are hard perfect lining pencils. Wonderful for detail work. The lumograph surpasses many other brands it’s outstanding

The product name is correct, but the pictures are wrong and confusing mostly. Price mentioned in the description is also wrong. On the box that I got,the mrp written is 672rs. Quite an old lot, that means. Coming to the actual pencils. Steadtler seems to have reduced the lead dia. Better to go with camlin 3B pencils. They have very very similar performance.
