They worked like a charm. However to do what I did, you will also need a T8 torx to remove the hinge screws. This kit does not include that size. Thankfully I had a torx set that had that size in it otherwise I would have had to go get one with my computer half way apart. I would not have been happy at that point. So just be aware, I have a MacBook Pro Retina, late 2013 model and you will need a larger torx in a addition to the T5 in this kit, also, you will not need the philips screw driver at all. The screwdrivers are a noticeably higher quality than the cheap ones that come with many replacement parts and will last you longer than a single use. They have some weight to them, are made of metal and have rubber grips, and the tips appear to be hardened and possibly made of actual tool steel rather than cast in one piece.I used this kit to repair a 2013 MacBook Pro Retina. Depending on how far you need to get into the laptop, you may need other screwdrivers (there are a few T6/T7 bits if you do a complete disassembly on this model).
