Just apply the foam piece yourself. Best price I have seen. *by K***E on July 12, 2020* First of all, this is a real review. I was not paid or given free products in any way for this review. I'm not sure why there is so much hate against this product. I am giving it 5 stars because it's a great price. I paid 1.82 per piece in this 50 pack. Are these the most robust face shields? No, you can pay more for ones that are sturdier. But you will pay a lot more. With that said, the quality on these is the same as several others on amazon that look exactly the same but are selling for 4 dollars a piece. As I write this, I have 100 more coming from this same seller at 1.66 per piece!Why is it so inexpensive? It's because you have to assemble it yourself. The headband is already plastic riveted to the clear face shield (see pic). All you have to do is apply the forehead foam piece. Yes, it can be a bit tricky to remove the adhesive backing from the foam, but after a few tries, I've come up with a system and haven't failed at a single one (see technique below). After you apply the foam, you just have to remove the protective plastic film from the front of the shield before use, and it will be clear. The "foggy" or "cloudy" appearance that some reviews mention may be because they did not remove the thin film. To be honest, I've assembled 20 of these so far and it's actually kind of fun. I've got my own technique of centering the foam on the shield.The fact that you have to assemble it makes it that much more enjoyable of a purchase. It's the "ikea effect" where you feel much more satisfied after assembling something yourself rather than having someone do it for you. I'm looking forward to assembling the remainder of what I received.Technique for removing the adhesive backing from the foam. (see picture). Pinch one corner of the foam between your thumb and index finger as shown in the picture. Do this as close to the adhesive backing as possible. Then try to peel the foam away from the backing. If one corner doesn't work, try the other 3.Don't let the 1 star reviews discourage you. These are a great price.
