It was easy to put together and took less than 5 minutes. The cushion is firm but soft and comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. The wheels glide extremely well, sometimes too well. A word of caution if you are using on a slick tile surface, sit down slowly and make sure the stool is underneath you or it will slide away. The smooth glide of the wheels makes it perfect for quickly moving from one part of a room to another so I wouldn't change anything. I have used it at least 3x a week since June and it seems to be holding up just fine and showing no signs of damage. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for 35ish, worth at least twice the price *by T***P on February 2, 2016* very light weight, but seemingly more than sturdy enough;rolls easily on standard/low-nap carpet, or hard floor;(doesn't roll all that easy on a carpet when you are actually sitting on it)lift mechanism works well;was ready to spend several hundred to get a good stool, but i think this will do the job;cushion is very stiff foam, which helps greatly to give a good seat position;this may be the first item i have ever assembled in forty years where the instructions were so simple and straight forward that they actually helped speed up assembly, which then only takes a few minutes;update (427'16): i'd buy another one if they were still avail;(the cushion does squash down a bit, to about half, after the first few weeks, but it just makes it easier to grab it and carry the stool to another room)update (1220'18): i've bought three of these; they still are the most comfortable stool that i've used; but they seem to last only a year or two before they breakdown where the seat attaches to the hydraulic support-rod; much as i like them for comfort & light weight, i'm now having to weigh whether their relatively short life is justified by their low price and general comfort and usefulness to me; i've also used an amazon stool of about twice the price, but i don't use it if i have one of these close by, because the more expensive stool has a larger-circumference seat, has a larger footprint, and is heavier and more awkward to pick up and move around; i'll probably keep using these, and just consider it "renting for a year" instead of a long-term purchase; however, if they start breaking catastrophically on me, like they seem to have done for others, that might be the last straw. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome! Works Better Than I'd Hoped - Update July 2017 *by L***R on November 19, 2016* Awesome! I love it. I'm disabled and have problems cleaning our bathroom because it's not very big and cramped quarters in there. I can't stand for more than about 30 seconds and bending over is just as bad. I figured if I could sit down to do the cleaning, it would make life much easier for me. My office chair is too big to fit in there, so I thought I'd try this stool. I could not be happier. It's working out great. It fits in the tight spaces, adjusts low enough for me, and rolls easily. I initially had it in the kitchen (where it was assembled) and I tried it out there first. I normally use my office chair in that room. This worked so well in there, that I'll most likely buy another one (or maybe more). I definitely recommend this.Ooooops. Well, it was great while it lasted. I did get tons of use out of it. I used it all the time, especially in my kitchen. I used it for cooking, dishes, putting groceries away, putting clean dishes away, feeding my kitties, cleaning the litter box, etc. It may have been a bit short, but it did work for me, since I'm only 5' tall. When working at the sink, I found that the water would run down my arms and into my lap (or on the floor) so I fixed that by laying a towel across the edge of the sink. It was a bit low for seeing what I was doing on the counter and stove but for that I just moved the stuff to the kitchen table which is lower. All was well until one day, one of the wheels broke off. The plastic framework that held the wheel in place... a small section of it broke off and the wheel fell out (while I was on it). My husband was able to repair it and all was well again for about another week or two. Then, a real disaster happened. While I was on it cooking dinner, the molded plastic where the legs meet the seat post completely broke in half and two of the legs broke off with it. Sadly, the legs that broke off were the ones at the back. I fell backwards to the floor, along with the rest of the stool. In doing so, the back of my head hit the kitchen table and chair and I ended up with a big knot on my head, a concussion, and a sprained neck! OUCH was an understatement!!!! At least I didn't have far to go to get to the ground. I'm just greatful that the screws in my spine (from my fusions) didn't snap, or that I didn't break a hip or something. I consider myself lucky. But it still was very painful (and still is, 9 days later). I'll have to take back my recommendation. I suggest finding a stool with all metal parts.
