sofun 2015-16-US, Umbrella stand, side table and flower pot all in one, Umbrella base, Black

I filled it to the top with sand, and my umbrella hasn't fallen over. (It did fall over when it was maybe 1/2 to 2/3 full, but completely full, it has been perfect.) I like having the mini table for drinks or whatever I need a place to set down, and I like the way it looks. I'm very pleased with the dual functionality, the performance, and the aesthetics.

This is a great item! Bought a stupid fill-with-water base, and every time the sun warmed, it would deform from the minor amount of heat. This is excellent - I added a 50# bag of sand in the bottom, and them filled the top with potting soil and potted my plants. Lets me fit an aloe plant, mini rose bush, and (some other flowering plant I can't remember). The spaces are NOT huge, as my plants like the partial shade, and have filled out nicely. CAVEAT! There are NO drain holes that I saw. I poked some holes in mine so water could drain. Other than this, very nice!

I have been looking for the perfect umbrella stand that can withhold the wind along with holding some glasses and possibly my laptop when I work by the pool. This umbrella stand/side table ticks many of my wants and needs for the price. I have a 10ft umbrella that I purchased and mostly keep closed but in the event that there is some wind and I want to open it, I want it to not blow away! This came relatively quickly in the mail and is pretty sturdy plastic and metal retainer. I filled the base with about 11 bricks that I had laying around and once it was filled there is no moving it, make sure you have it where you want it. There were some screw holders that came with the product but no explanation on why they gave so many and what configuration to put them in, this was confusing. Overall, I think it's a good product and I would order again for the money. Pros: 1. Seems pretty good quality 2. looks pretty sleek, better than metal based product 3. can set drinks on it, I didn't use for a planter 3. easy to clean Cons: 1. why they gave all the screws with no instructions, not sure 2. wish there were other color choices 3. wheels would have been nice 4. Not quite wide enough for me to set my laptop on

Good for your umbrella. Does need sand or something because it is just lightweight plastic, would have probably gone with usual heavy based umbrella stand had I known this

The concept is great, but I wouldn't recommend. I ordered 2 for my pool area to go next to wicker loungers. One came damaged. No matter what you fill with, if you plan to put a large umbrella in it, it's not sturdy enough to withstand breezes or wind gusts. Additionally, the outer surfaces are cheap looking - clearly plastic - and scratch very easily. Concept is great, but as long as you're not looking to integrate with nicer surrounding or put a hefty umbrella in it. I ended up with this, and love it. Returned this product. It is very light weight with the suggestion of drilling a hole in the bottom to let out water, (it could crack it), and if it's needed why not have it already ? The idea is a good one, but for the price I doubt it. I did like that this was actually made in the US. If the company improved this, I'd try for it again.

This is the only umbrella stand I have purchased that actually works (especially in the wind.) Yes, I have tried them all. This one is really cool. I used sand in the base, filling it to the fill line. Others have complained about it looking cheap. Everyone who comes to my house likes it. And I don't "do" cheap. The base can be used for planting. The lid flips upside down, and becomes a place to set a drink, or whatever. I am going to buy at least one more.

Filled this item with sand as recommended and purchased an umbrella - I love this holder - the umbrella sits securely in this on my patio and looks lovely! Would purchase again - HIGHLY RECOMMEND this item! UPDATE 11/3/18 Umbrella stand still looks as good as the day I bought it - have never had an umbrella blow down from this stand not has the stand blown over - it has been on an open patio that gets plenty of wind, leaves, snow - it was filled with sand from Home Depot upon receipt and sits on a rolling dolly - BEST PURCHASE EVER!
