Very thorough. This book provides an excellent foundation of technical analysis knowledge. Despite its length, I found it to be an interesting read.

In my opinion, this should be the first book that a novice trader should read. Yes, it's long and reads like a text book, but trading is hard and takes time. It gives a nice and comprehensive overview over the whole field of technical analysis. Whenever possible, academic research is mentioned that gives you the confidence that what you are learning is not just tea leaf reading, but has real statistics behind it. After you are done with this book, you can buy books that discuss actual strategies and trading systems.

Good book to study technical analysis. The book is good. It is easy to understand.

Explained many important concepts and included lots of references for further reading. Could be trimmed down a bit but overall worth the read.

The content is excellent. I’m studying for the CMT, so that’s why I have it - for the study questions. But the physical book, its fundamental bookness, is atrocious. Cheap paper, bad printing, ghosts of other pages, faint impressions. You’d expect, I certainly expected, better from something bearing the imprimatur of the Financial Times. And since it’s clearly a printing problem, there’s no sense in trying to exchange or return it.

As a Chartered Market Technician I have a few texts that I travel with and this is one of my essentials. I refer to this regularly. If you want a good thorough text to cover most TA topics this is essential. Highly recommended.

Great introductory. Covers most if not all of the methods and techniques used today. I've read about 60% of the book and already have put it to use in my investments. Highly recommend it for the novice and an excellent reference for the experienced chart analyst.
