(You can make it buck if you try or are not using it appropriately, but when used in a reasonable manner no buck) It cuts through anything (haven't tried using it for plate steel, but goes through nails and thin metal no problem) I use it ALL THE TIME! Drywall, plywood, notching 2x4's, PVC, fiberglass, sheet metal, the list doesn't end. The only thing I have not tried it on is masonry.
