Very Good Reference
I bought this book to bring me up to speed on the latest versions of MS Office programs. Although lacking in some minor areas, it is a great tool for teaching someone MS Office. Generally easy to follow along and instructions are usually quite clear.

All in one and excellent resource!
This is just what i needed after being out of the workforce for three years! My old job had a specific computer program so when my new job required me to be sharp on these programs i was a bit rusty!! But this guide made it easy to access whatever i needed to refresh my skills and in no time I was back on top of my game!! It seemed to be able to answer all the questions i had too! I highly recommend it!

Fine as a Reference Book, but Not a Good Teaching Tool
My main complaint is that it does not give examples to help the reader learn new skills. Moreover, the graphics are such poor quality that it makes them difficult to read, much less reproduce for practice. Also, some of the sections are just poorly written and hard to understand, for example the chapter on Templates. That being said, the book contains lots of information and would be a great resource to someone who already has a basic grasp of the programs and wants to learn a new feature. However, I would not call this a book for Dummies as it is not easy to comprehend.

Great starting point for all 'office' noobs and those seeking moderate advancement
Very easy to use introductory book. From this, i would suggest going further with the various programs you like by buying their individual 'for dummies' books for more advanced program understanding. I did so w a few and am happy w results... but this works well as a fallback for programs i use on occasionally

Great guide!
Great guide. I already know the basics of office but I'm really surprised at how little I knew about the functions of the office suite. I learned a lot in the first 73 pages that I didn't already know. I see the buttons on my ribbon and know they probably do something cool but I know how I know how to use them. It's really helping me at work.

Good book to have in your reference library!
The book is very informative and a fun read. It's not a textbook (and Peter never said it was) so it's not great in a classroom. But, it offers good information and is a great tool to have in your "technology toolbox".

A Perfect Intro to Office 2016
This covers all of the basics for all of the programs included in Office 2016, it's a pretty hefty tome. Emphasis on the word basics here - this is in no way at all an in depth guide, if you want specifics you will probably need the guide specific to the program. Regardless of anyone's personal feelings about Office 16, this is a very well laid out and presented book. It follows a sort of loose logic by program, but I've found the best way to use these Guides (as I have for many years now) is to use the program, get stuck and look it up. Pro's Very simple to understand layout. Clear and to the point wording delivered in a pretty light hearted, conversational manner. Useful hints and tips along the way. Clear images and screenshots. Superb value for money. Cons The books are on fairly low grade paper, they will show signs of wear and tear pretty quickly. The images are mostly in a grey scale and can be quite grainy. I have no problem with any Dummies Guide. They cover their subject matter admirably and despite the low grade paper, by the time you have worn out the book it doesn't matter anyway because you're probably good enough already or chewing your way through the program specific guides!
