I have used rope attachments in the past, they are just about my favorite cable attachment, for the simple fact that they are so versatile and they allow for a full range of motion as well as a new dynamic to any exercise.What makes rope attachments so great is that they are not set pieces, for instance, if you are doing a triceps push down with a straight bar attachment, when you get to the lowest part of the exercise, you will be able to straighten you arms all the way, but they will be stuck in one plane of motion; up and down. There is nothing wrong with a straight bar, but with a rope, when you get to the bottom of the exercise, you can squeeze you triceps and really get a more natural movement, reducing the risk for injury. I workout 5-6 times a week and use this 1-2 x a week so I used it quite a bit.only bad part is it did stink for like 2 weeks or so. basically stunk up my weight room but its not a bad/ disgusting smell, more of a very noticeable annoying rubber smell. cant beat it for the price.Update 5-12-14. Still going strong. Still using it at least once a week and no signs of wear. Had forgotten it stunk for two weeks and has been durable so giving it 5 stars instead of 4.
