Intelligent and Accessible Poetry
You no longer have to avoid poetry with Billy Collins as the poet. His poetry is readable and enjoyable on the surface as well as intelligent and full of meaning for thought provoking conversations. Read this book for delight and joy in the world around you and perhaps for giving you the motivation to write your own poems.

Well, my goodness, what is there not to like about this book of poems? They make you think. They make you laugh. They make you want to send Billy Collins a fan letter, or at least a nice bottle of wine.

Billy Collins is so accessible
I have very much enjoyed reading Billy Collins is poetry ever since discovering his poem, “You, reader.“ This was the only book of his I could find in my local library at the time. I enjoyed it so much that I got tired of checking it out from the library and finally just purchased a copy. The pole my reference above actually appears in his collection “the trouble with poetry and other poems.”

Go hardbacks!
The book arrived pretty quickly in perfect condition. It gives me great pleasure to read it. It's a hardback and reminds me of the particular pleasures to be had from reading books that are beautifully bound and will be fun to hold and to keep for rereading many times.

it's the little things
Sometimes somber, sometimes comical, sometimes heart-tugging, this disparate and eclectic collection of poetry is meant for pure enjoyment. The poems are accessible and quick to read. Sometimes snarky, most times playful and self-conscious, these poems serve as reminders of the little things in life. Also, some poems, that I enjoy the most, are art commenting on all artistic forms and drawing out the pleasure of devoted appreciation.

As usual Billy Collins writings are creative, clear and they often hook some memory or bring up a new idea I had never thought of. Kudos to Collins.
