How big does opening have to be for these speakers?

They send you a template for the size of hold then you cut it to that size and pop the speaker in and rotate the little clamps that hold it in place.

Does this speaker have the magnetic screen?

It is a new box with both speakers and the cover that you can paint over. I am not sure what a magnetic screen would be.
