Great pouch for whatever
Great quality pouch. Hook and loop on the back holds firm. Zippers are smooth. Fabric is strong and light. This pouch is available in two sizes that i know. The large pouch has a interal organization flap and two zippers. The smaller one has no organization and one zipper. Both pouches are in the picture. The backpack in photo is a Maxpedition Falcon III in foliage green.

Hey, it's Max
I seriously have doubts about people that buy a product of Maxpedition, and then give it a poor rating <smh>. The only reason I can think this would be is if they got something they were not expecting, and that SHOULD be hard since Max does a great job of photographing their products. If you don't find enough photos, go to Maxpedition's main website and look up the product. It will show you ALL views of the product, typically inside and out, and show it attached to gear and/or a person. You should know EXACTLY what you are getting. I got a couple of the pockets to use inside various other products (one a UTG messenger bag - like a Fatboy, only less expensive, but surprisingly great quality), and the other a Falcon II. Most of the back of the pocket is hook & loop to attach to velcro, which Max and others have inside some of there bags. I guess you could attach to outside a bag as well, but I would not want to do this since it does not have any Molle/pals webbing to secure it. The material on this is a bit more flexible than the material used on their main packs & add-ons. Zipper is still the hard-use type with the paracord pulls. Inside are two elastic loops along the back 'wall' of the pocket, to secure possibly a multitool, or other implement (I haven't tried it, but I think it is wide enough for a single stack pistol mag as well, altho' that was not my intent with this product). I purchased to use more as a 'catch-all' for smaller items within the UTG bag (my pistol range bag), and to carry some cash, change, etc. as well as to hold the pistol site wrenches, earplugs, etc. In my Falcon, I will probably set it up as a firestarter and water purifier 'kit'. It is big enough to accommodate plenty of items for both. These only come in the one color, but since it is supposed to go inside the outter gear, it actually makes it easier to see against the black of my packs. Why do I continue to buy Max when I could probably find cheaper alternatives? Well, they have a great selection, and their items are well-made, bar none. As I mentioned, I have the UTG, which I found excellent quality, and I have a VooDoo Tactical soft side 36" gun case that was less expensive but top quality as well in materials and construction. As I said, there is NO excuse to not know what you are getting - READ the description, and if you have to pull out something to measure dimensions, than do it. This is the same size as a 3x5 recipe card (same size, meaning that you can NOT fit a stack of these cards inside since they are the SAME size.

Great back pocket EDC pouch for slim/skinny pants wearers
Really wanted a EDC pouch but most were meant for cargo pants, didn't see them working in the back pocket of my slim jeans. My solution was getting this 3x5 pouch, and boy did I make a good choice. This makes a fantastic EDC pouch, holds everything you need and nothing more. Plus it stays flat so you can sit on it comfortably on car drives without noticing. The inside sleeves and elastic bits do a good job holding in everything while the half zipper keeps my spare chance from falling out. Also it's nice attached to the inside pocket of my Condor Outdoor Fuel Hydration Pack - Color: Tan while I'm on the trail. Only gripe is the hook side gets caught on stuff sometimes, gonna need a hoop piece to keep it from sticking to everything. Also the paracord pulls sometimes come undone after repeated use. Don't put carmex or squeeze lip balm in it because it can burst open and stain the fabric. 2017 UPDATE Bought a second one, lost the first. The newer ones seem to be much stiffer even when you wear them in over time. Still would recommend!

Typical excellent Maxpedition quality. See note re: elastic holders.
Typical excellent Maxpedition quality! My only comment regards the elastic holders. I bought this for EDC but can’t use the elastic holders because they don’t let me clip and store things the long way. I didn’t think anout that when I saw them in the picture. My bad! For me, the elastic holders would be way more valuable turned the other way so my pen and marker would fit the long way. See picture for visual. Just sharing in case this matters for your use case.

Handy for small items between bags
This little bag is perfect for keeping small items like chapstick, mints, pocketknife, meds, etc., together and portable, so you can move it between a workout bag, backpack or messenger bag easily. Opens more fully then many other similar bags. Also, the hook and loop full back panel stays attached to a loop panel very fell. I have no issues with slapping it onto a backpack and walking around with it.

As advertised.
It's simple, it's ugly, it's effective at doing what it claims to do. Zipper pulls smoothly, materials are as advertised. I just with Maxpedition would also make civilian colors; I would buy a whole set of either orange or red bags for all of the IFAKs in my house, cars, daybags. First I used a scissors to cut out the corporate branded tag from the inside. Then I used a seam ripper to remove the corporate branded tag from the outside. Then my pouch was ready for some gear. The item delivered to me says "Made in Vietnam", for those of you who care.

two zipper straps and easy to use
Great pouch with hook and loop to carry inside a backpack. I have two, one for small meds and the other for a survival tin and some extras. Works nicely together. Design: ease of use.
