It's great that you get a number of pairs in this set so you can use them on multiple shoes if needed. They are inexpensive but seem like they will hold up well. So far, they have fit well in any shoes I have tried to use them with. I haven't tried to stick them in with any kind of adhesive, but they do seem to stay in place in the shoes when I wear them. They cushion the toe and do just what they are supposed to do.
Review: You need these - As a person with narrow, very flat feet that are a half size different, i find these essential! I have had a really tough time with finding affordable, cute shoes that fit me. They can be the right size but still too big or too little depending on width, shape of the toebox, or how high the instep is. Sometimes adding insoles helps, sometimes it doesn't. These have made my life so much easier. They are soft and cushiony, cloth covered, and once you get them in the right spot, you forget they are there. Or at least I do. They stay in place, and they hold up. None of mine have come apart. I find them very versatile and have them in nearly all my shoes, including sneakers, flats, and heels. Now when new shoes don't fit, I just add these and generally find they are a comfortable, quick solution, and I no longer have to shove rolled up paper towels into the toes of shoes to make them fit. These are a great price too. I have bought them 3 times now. If you have weird feet, I highly recommend these.

**Q: can you devide them into smaller inserts?**
A: I think you can do that.  I had to make mine a little smaller and they were very comfortable.

**Q: Are these good for running shoes?**
A: Positively!  Not only is the sole solid, yet cushy to the foot, but the sides are very supportive to support jogging and running. I love these shoes and my feet love me for getting them. Great quality!

**Q: Can these fix heels that are a half size too large?**
A: Yes they will work for a 1/2 size difference.

**Q: these are great but compress when worn and stop working- do they fill out again if washed?**
A: Yes, they can be washed and will return to original shape. Rinse in soapy water, then squeeze out soap. Next, hold under running water to rinse out soap and squeeze water out at same time until soap is gone. Squeeze insert to rid of any excess water and also press insert back into original shape.  Let air-dry on towel.

I have not worn the shoes out of the house; I simply applied the shoe inserts in three pairs of pumps. From what I can tell initially is the toe inserts have made the shoes fit tighter so I don't slip out of them while walking. The shoes were about 1/2 size too big. Plus, the toe inserts seemed comfortable enough when I tried them. I don't know that I will be standing or walking in these pumps for hours, but the toe inserts work well, and I'm very pleased with them for the price.
