Ludovico Einaudi: Portrait

I ordered this for one song I knew. But the entire CD is absolutely breath-taking. Just beautiful. We listen during the day to reduce stress and fill with joy, and going to bed it helps us sleep.

I ordered this CD after hearing some of the selections on my local radio station. It is mesmerizing and enchanting. I have gifted this CD to at least 5 other people and everyone absolutely loved it. Great music.

I have wanted this CD of gentle, contemplative music for a very long time. I think I, at first, felt that the music was too easy to love and that I would tire of it, but I have not, so it was time to purchase while I still could. The programming is impeccable. Each track proceeds on the strength of what has come before, the whole a journey across time. The concluding piece, "Devenir," or "Becoming" ends before the journey of it ends... because you know by then that the music never ends. That is life. Canadian-born, Juilliard-trained violinist, Angele Dubeau, who plays a rare Stradivarius, renders each piece in such a delicate, nuanced way that the music is not just heard by way of the ear but seems to float effortlessly through every pore of the skin. Her playing is the kind that dissolves barriers. The woman-based ensemble, La Pieta, founded by Ms. Dubeau and backing her, is so attuned her every move as soloist that you almost cannot tell what's foreground and background. The end result is beyond-the-sum-of-the-parts ethereal. It's a luminous CD from beginning to end.

Beautiful, captivating music, heavy on the violin. I listened to this CD about 10 times in a row when I first received it. It's relaxing, but not flat or repetitive, and is very peaceful without being boring.

The most beautiful music I have ever heard in my life!!! At times, it actually brings me to tears..... that’s how moving this music is!!!

This CD combines the beauty of Einaudi's compositions for piano (essentially new age) with the creativity of Ms. Dubeau's orchestral arrangements. What emerges is a concert version of new age music, which is beautiful, relaxing, enjoyable, and original. Highly recommended!

My kids and I heard this version of I Giorni on our local radio station and loved it. It took a bit to hunt it down, but this entire album is so beautiful. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Love this CD. First heard it on the radio in my car. It brought tears to my eyes, evoking lots of emotion. I had just heard of my brother suffering a serious accident in another country. This CD now has a very personal meaning to me, I just had to own it to be able to listen to it whenever I wanted to; rarely does a day go by.

Acheté sur la plateforme AMZ en Mai et écouté tardivement* car j'avais initialement l'intention de l'offrir .. (*) retour amazone prime fermé depuis juin 2019 l'album n'est pas lisible,l'initialisation (indexation ) s'effectue difficilement (testé sur quatre lecteurs différents dont deux HdG et )un THDG Les pistes sont entachées de défauts de lecture principalement sur la première moitie de l'album ..( crash et arret de lecture inopiné , accrochages Je voudrais savoir si AMAZONE pourrait initier un recours possible auprès du label ANALECKTA ? Je possède une demi douzaine d'album de cette artiste sous ce label Canadien habituellement sans pb .. Le CD ne présente aucune forme de dégradations visuelles ( rayures et autres traces absentes ..surface nickel !) Ce défaut concerne -t'il mon exemplaire ou bien fait- il l'objet d'une série défectueuse ? MERCI

Although I'm unfamiliar with this French-Canadian artist and her troupe, and only picked up on this wonderful album through Classic FM, I have to say that it blows me away ! Any lover of great music and orchestration would surely enjoy this astonishing collection of thirteen 'interpretations' of Einaudi compositions. We're all likely to have a favourite track of course, but 'Run' at 4 mins 49 secs really does hitch up its skirts and launch for the stars ! (Amongst all this sublime fiddling, only 'Svanire' seems a little lacking, at least to my ears. ) Anyway, go-ahead and buy it, send it to #1, and see how you feel !

Welche von Einaudis schönsten Stücken mit Geige statt Piano im Mittelpunkt..klingt sehr voll und farbenprächtig. Man hört den Atem von Frau Dubeu, jedes Detail wurde gut eingefangen und die Instrumente sind gut ortbar. Insgesammt treten 13 weitere fantastische Musiker ins Licht die die 1.Geige unterstützen. Darunter 6 weitere Violinen, 3 Chellos, 1 Kontrabass 1 Piano und eine Harfe..richtig schön. Geieignet als Vorführ-Cd auf Hifimessen. Eine meiner lieblings Cds mit vielen von Einaudis farbenprächtigsten, bekanntesten Stücken. Bei einer hochwertigen Anlage bemerkt man die pure Aufnahme ohne subsonic-filter. Dementsprechend bewegen sich die Tieftöner ...klanglich sehr ansprechend. Zum weinen, ,zum träumen, zum genießen, zum headbängen......ja, manche Stücke entwickeln eine solche Intensität, dass man nicht ruhig sitzen bleiben kann. Besonders wenn man eine hochwertige Stereoanlage mit subwoover betreibt und aufdreht, fliegt einem die Bude um die Ohren. Diese Cd macht einfach nur wahnsinnig Freude. Wer Einaudi mag wirds wahrscheinlich lieben.

Violinista bravissima. Veramente un piacere ascoltarla. Un cd veramente consigliabile se piace il genere. Molto rilassante in auto o in relax
