If you’ve never had a wood cutting board before, be advised, this board needs to be cleaned before it’s used. If you try to oil it out of the box, you’ll find the stain coming off. It’s okay; just CLEAN before you OIL. As always, there are numerous You Tube tutorials on how to do this.

12-2-22 Update to my original review. Customer service has had nothing to say at all so we returned the board and received our refund from Amazon. Extremely disappointed in this product. We've literally owned it now for just a couple of weeks and used it only a few times and followed the cleaning instructions to a tee. According to what they say it does come pre-oiled/treated but very unsure about this. The seams are starting to split on both sides of the board already. Not even the cheapest Walmart board we had in the past did this so soon. It'll be interesting to see what customer service has to say about this. As far as the looks of this board it does look very nice upon arrival and brand new condition.

Just what I needed

I had wanted a new cutting board for sometime and did my research. I spent more time than I probably should have researching them and looking at different sizes and wood types. I finally pulled the trigger on this one and am pretty happy. The quality and look is great. I've been using it for a few weeks now with daily use and it's held up really well. I hardly see the cut marks on it and the wood is still beautiful. I'm hoping with regular oiling this thing will last a long time. The only thing I think they could improve would be to sand all the edges on this board. The juice grooves have a sharp angle which when you run your finger over when washing or moving can be a little abrasive. A light tough of sand papper will help which I plan to do at the juice groove and then it will be even better.

Beautiful.. Well worth the money

I bought this because a lot of the reviews says it doesn’t warp as much as other wooden boards, and I had high hopes when I received it, because it is thick and heavy. But within a week of use, it was already starting to warp and not sit flat. Still an ok cutting board, but now it rocks back and forth due to the warping.
