My expectations were high. I have long suffered super dry acne prone skin. All cleansers dry my skin out - even those specifically designed for dry skin conditions. So, the only option I had was to use one of those cleansers and follow up with chemical laden lotion or oil that would turn my face greasy. Before bed, I'd run an ice over my face in order to close the pores. It was not my favorite process but the potential benefits outdid the freezing pain. Alas - this would again leave some parts of my face dry.Rose Water Toner is such an amazing alternative. I dabbed some on my cleansed face and neck. Voila - smooth, supple, hydrated, yummylicious skin in an instant! And when I casually looked in the mirror a later, I could actually SEE my facial skin tighten. It was a little creepy. But the skin hadn't dried up - not even a little bit. I did a quick jig in my head but was convinced that my skin would dry out eventually in a couple of hours. Its lightly scented with its own natural scent. Which is very faint. You'll not notice much of a scent but enough to know, you're using rose water. The serum is clear, not amber or yellow. It smelled good, even had more of a "rose" scent than the other brand, which I am sure would be an asset for pouring in a bath or some other use where you value more of that "rose" scent. When used as a facial toner for some reason it did not work as well for my skin as another brand, but it is a mystery as to why that is -I contacted the company who assured me that this product IS distilled with no other ingredients added. Yet, I had irritation that cleared up when I switched back to a different brand -I don't think that was a coincidence but if there is nothing else in the bottle I feel like I cannot say this means there is anything wrong with the product so I am still going to give a positive review. Every now and then you read in reviews that people say they received a bad batch of rose water from one company or another, but that was not the case, this bottle smelled pretty and fresh. I am a little on the fence about trying it again on my face, but I am very impressed with the customer service for this company, so I am still giving this 4 stars because you can buy from them with confidence.
