K5 PRO 10g Viscous Thermal Paste - Compatible with Apple iMac, Asus ROG, Acer Nitro, MSI Laptops, RTX 3080, 2080TI, 3090, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox

This is a great thermal paste for larger gaps. I wouldn’t use this between a processor and heatsink where the connection is very tight, but it is great for transferring heat in areas without tight connections. As an example, I have a Nintendo Switch that is about seven years old and was suffering from a dying, puffed battery and a loud, clearly dying heatsink fan. I followed an iFixit guide and took the Switch apart, and they recommended using this compound between a heat pipe that leaves the processor, and a large metal plate that goes across the back of the processor for heat distribution. The gap is larger there, and the old thermal paste that Nintendo had used was dry and brittle and crumbling, and I replaced all of it with this one. (For the processor and heatsink connection itself, which is tight, I used a different product, Arctic MX-6, which is what I use for all my desktop computer CPU installations). I have had zero issues with any over heating in the months since it has been applied, and we use our Switch heavily. I can feel the heat spread evenly across the back of the switch, so it is clearly doing the transfer between the small pipe and the larger plate, just as expected. I think this is a great product and would definitely recommend it.

Swapped the fan in my V1 Switch and decided to remove the old thermals and replace them. This paste was specifically used to replace the factory "red paste" (see my picture) for the metal plate that runs along the entire back of the Switch and connects to the copper(?) pipe. The red paste is (and needs to be) thick so this paste was a great replacement. Very integral as that metal plate disperses the heat evenly across the entire back of the unit and the paste acts as a bridge between the components and the metal plate.

This was a game changer for my gaming laptop. It worked great on my Predator laptop. My laptop would overheat while playing games after a while. I took it apart, cleaned off all the old stuff, and later applied this. My laptop stopped stuttering when it got hot and so far hasn't turned off from too much heat. I kept an eye on the temperatures and it stayed consistent the entire time. :)

Needed replacement paste for the heat shield when I replaced the broken card reader in our Nintendo Switch, I've had no issues with the Switch overheating so it seems to be doing it's job!

It was easy to apply when replacing the midframe on my kid's Switch. The included stick was nice to have.

My first time using this product, successfully eplaced several thermal pads when repasting ASUS ROG laptop. Watch some videos if you haven't used it - if you try too hard to be neat you are going to make it much harder for yourself. However viscous you are thinking it will be, it's more than that. 100% glad that I watched a couple vids first to see just how sloppy people were being with it - would be very difficult to be neat with it IMO. The directions also tell you not to worry about it, but I still wouldn't have been as free with it as needed if I hadn't seen it.

Ist zäh und klebrig, daher ne riesige Sauerei, aber ne super Alternative zu Pads in vielen Situationen. Ich benutze das vor allem für Nintendo Switch, zwischen Heatpipe und der Metallplatte. Viel cleaner und zuverlässiger als normale Paste hier wäre, wegen des großen Abstands und der unebenen Oberfläche, und viel weniger fummelig und umständlich und weniger Müll als ein Pad zurecht zu schneiden. In Zukunft möchte ich es auch auf Grafikkarten testen.

This is not a CPU paste. Its for making thermal bridges between electrical components and heat-sinks etc. I use this mainly in LED lighting applications between the LED and heatsinks. Greatly improves reliability. I have also used it to improve thermal bridging between batteries and thermal sensors (overheat protection role). Is a paste, and quite thick, little awkward to use sometimes but. if you have a joint between electronics and a heatsink / case etc to fill, this is great.
