CeraVe Sunscreen Face SPF 30, 2.5 oz, Old Formula (Discontinued)

Had never heard of the brand until I went to a new dermatologist for my annual skin check-up. She doesn't outright sell it, but she recommends it by having various CeraVe products around on table and countertops. This brand is reasonably priced. I was amazed. You can find it at your local drug store or supermarket. Other dermatologists I'd been to recommended and some even sold other brands you see in high-end magazines and fancy stores, mostly $$$ ($100+). Am not in that league. Even if I were, I wouldn't pay that kind of money. This product is light, feels good, protects, and I'll buy it again and again.

I like a zink oxide sunscreen in theory. It is a physical barrier (safer for your body) that stays on longer than chemical versions. But that is the downside too. It leaves a pasty, white film. I'm fair skinned, but worn on it's own, the film is still visible. If I mix it with another, non-zink sunscreen, I'm good to go. Currently I'm mixing it with Neutragen Oil-Free Moisture with sunscreen. (Alone, the Neutragena leaves my skin oily. This Cera-Ve is actually somewhat drying, so the mix balances out that aspect too.)

stays with you all day. I reapply two times over day...I work on dive boat that has lots of sweat, salt water, etc....I'm impressed with it's longevity and it's protection. Came Very highly recommended by my dermatologist.

Great product, I even got a few for my friend in Brazil and she loves it. However I gotta mention that it leaves the face a little whiter than normal.

The product I received was not what I ordered. First time this has happened on Amazon. Since I did not receive what I though I was ordering, I am not pleased. If I wanted the product I received I would have ordered or bought long ago. The product I received is for dry skin and I am very oily!!!!

This product feels thick, doesn’t not spread or rub in easily and leaves your face WHITE. I have to scrub it off otherwise it leaves a white film

This is the black sheep of the Cerave family of products. While the other members offer reliable, soft and supple moisturizing support, this blowhard smacks you right across the face and leaves a filmy white handprint. Think you'll outsmart the little jerk by rubbing it in a little more or adding moisturizer? Ha! Then it pills, turning your face into an old, cheap sweater.

Cera Ve is one of the only types of lotion that I can use. I have very dry, sensitive skin and the product goes on smoothly and is never oily. Love it!

This is the worst sunscreen i have ever tried it is absolutely trash it leaves a very noticeable white cast its like paint and its so thick and it so hard for the skin to absorb it and it develops pimples ..
