What Dyson should have included
If Dyson didnโt invent the category of stick vacuums โ and they didnโt โ they definitely did a lot to popularize them with the V series, most of which look similar but can range in price from just over a hundred to well over five hundred bucks. To me they are in that category of a product you pay a lot more for the name and to support their enormous advertising budgets but in reality they are mostly cheap plastic and questionably any better than all of the lookalikes barking at their heels. And some of those lookalikes can be very nice โ I own two of them and both have some features that Dyson could learn a few things from. I almost gave away my V6 which from Day One was cursed with a battery that would give me 6 minutes on low speed and 3 minutes on high speed. But I ran across a no name replacement battery when the original finally died completely and the no name one is a hundred times better โ I only charge it about once a week. For that reason I donโt have to keep it plugged in to the wall mounted charging base, which used to work out fine in my old house but now I like to keep the vac in my ensuite bathroom and there is no good place to wall mount it. I often wondered why Dyson didnโt include a floor stand with their vacs. Then one day I ran across this one and was very excited. Being a careful shopper I looked at all of the options POWDER COATED NOT SUGAR COATED The first review I read didnโt say a word about how well this thing is made, how functional it was, or if it was a good value โ only that there was some black powder in the box. I canโt imagine why that would be a concern, it is very common for better metal products these days to be powder coated instead of being merely painted. Powder coating provides a much harder and more durable finish. Itโs normal for some of the excess at the ends to shake free in transit, however there wasnโt even one speck with mine so I can only assume that condition is not normal, likely a sign of bad handling. That doesnโt indicate any kind of defect or plot to infect us with a strange black powder. The cardboard can just be discarded with the rest of the trash without any concerns at all. WEIGHT WEIGHT DONโT TELL ME I will tell you that for something like this a heavily weighted base is a good thing. If youโre not already in the habit you should look for the product details on this page where you will find the weight of an item. This brand was the heaviest of any at almost ten pounds, nearly double one of the other ones. While Dyson vacs are light they do have quite a bit of their weight concentrated at the motor which is mounted at the top of the unit. The heavier the stand the less likely it will tip over. Once I opened it I learned why it is so heavy, unlike the flimsy wire versions being sold for the same price, or the stamped sheetmetal I expected, most of this stand is made of extruded aluminum, an expensive manufacturing process but one that is structurally very strong. In fact every piece surprised me at how meticulously it is made, which I consider to be in the outstanding category โ something not too many products earn these days. The base is constructed of heavy steel and I doubt if it would be possible for it to accidentally fall over. The upright arrives in two pieces that are attached to the base with heavy bolts. The two pieces are attached together with a piece of solid steel. I read a comment in which someone said the holes in their product were misdrilled. I see that erroneous comment about products from time to time and for the most part I write them off as being impossible โ holes on mass produced items arenโt drilled by some guy one at a time, they are done by robots and are always identical. In this case I discovered the reason some people think they are misdrilled is that the metal connector is asymmetrical, the holes are not on center, all the user has to do is simply flip the connector piece over and the holes line up perfectly. MORE IMPRESSIVE THINGS The support piece is predrilled for almost every Dyson V series vac, they tell you which ones to use, but you donโt absolutely have to follow their guidelines. For my V6 the vacuum hung a little too high so it wasnโt securely against the support bar on the base. I chose to use the next set of holes down and I like the results. Once you mount the unique charging cradle you can thread the wire inside and down the back, there are even snap in retainers to make sure the wire stays hidden. As you assemble and use this product you canโt help but be impressed by all the various thoughtful design touches like that. There are also four very well made accessory pegs that you can attach to the upright, but you donโt have to do that if you only have the basic brush that interchanges with the rug nozzle. The charging unit has two accessory clips built in to it so I chose not to install the four pegs for a cleaner look. IN USE Not a design fault but something worth knowing is that when you use a stand like this you arenโt left with a lot of extra cord between it and the power transformer, about fifteen inches, which means it will have to be located near a wall plug. But as I mentioned I only have to charge my replacement battery about once a week so I store my vac in a place thatโs convenient for me and when itโs time to charge it I just plug in an extension cord for that few hours. The stand only takes up about as much space as a hardcover book. FINAL RECOMMENDATION I looked at almost all of the other storage stands and this one is absolutely the best in every way. Most of the others are made of wire and are nowhere near in the same league in terms of stability, convenience or appearance. Itโs easy to be disappointed in how cheaply things are made these days so it is especially appreciated when I find something thatโs just the opposite, I would almost tend to call this stand over engineered, it was obviously designed by someone who knows what theyโre doing and manufactured with precision and care. It is by far the best value and the class leader of any similar product.

Works for v15 Absolute model
Bought for a v15 Absolute. I usually don't leave reviews, but this stand was perfect. Very easy to assemble, only needing a Phillips head screwdriver. Packaged well with clear instructions. Sturdy black metal with no scratches or flaws and a minimalistic design that hugs the wall fairly tight when placed against the baseboard. Very heavy base, no fear of tipping and has more attachment holders than I needed. Out of the many options, glad I went with this one. Buy with confidence.

great solution for v12 storage
I recently got a new v12 and had a hard time organizing all the attachments. This stand does the trick and avoids drilling into the wall which is great. The v12 is orange/not super attractive so I may move where I store it in the future. The stand is made of metal, with some plastic parts (the little hooks for the attachments). The instructions are printed in a small way but easy to understand - one tip is to pay attention to the illustrations as by looking at the number of holes or placement of stuff on the bars you can tell which bar/which direction things should face. Only minor thing was the plastic piece that goes on the bottom was damaged during delivery. However, I installed with the damaged side facing inward so it still looks fine. Wish there was a little more padding for that area of the package but perhaps something happened during shipping that would have damaged it anyway. Not a product defect. Overall, sturdy and good quality which for me is worth the extra money. Love the slim look and portability.

TechOrbits Vacuum Stand
I really like this vacuum stand so far. It was fairly easy to assemble once I figured out the right way to connect the lower post to the base. The instructions are not that great. It took me about 30 minutes to put it together. I was taking my time to make sure I was doing it right because I did not want to have to take it apart and start all over. I like the look of this stand. It takes up very little space in my small apartment and feels sturdy. It holds most of the attachments. My Dyson V8 looks really good on the stand. I would recommend it.

You have to wing it for the Dyson V15
I just got my Dyson V15 Detect Absolute about 5 days ago and immediately ordered this for storage/ charging after researching many stands/ reviews. I'll be honest. I opened up the package and looked at the tiny picture directions and immediately put everything back in the box. I took a picture of the directions and later decided to try again after looking at them in depth on my laptop screen. Somehow I was able to wrap my brain around it better in a bigger visual format. Though the stand says it's compatible with V15, the instructions don't include mounting placement instructions on the stand for the V15 docking station. So I just attached it where it seemed to fit. With the wand stick assembly attached, the Dyson V15 doesn't touch the base of the stand. It just hangs. It seems like that's really the only way to store the bulkier fluffy optic cleaner head on this stand, in the hanging position. I'd prefer to leave the Dyson hair screw tool attached as I use it for the pet hair on my couch almost daily. Anyway, I just assembled this tonight so maybe I need to mess around with rearranging stuff and see what's spatially possible. The directions were pretty intimidating at first but ended up being fairly straightforward once I set my mind to it. It took me about 30-45 minutes, but I'm not the brightest bulb at assembling stuff. And there were no instructions for attaching the Dyson charging mount. I had to figure that all out myself. The stand seems sturdy/ good quality.

Great deal for this high-quality stand!
The stand was very well packaged and arrived with no damage. Materials are high-quality. Directions were excellent. I didnโt run into any issues. Iโm a 50+ female with back and shoulder issues, and It took me about 30 minutes to assemble (while watching TV). It looks great and itโs super sturdy. I would highly recommend.

Nice slim stand for my Dyson v12 detect slim
I got this for my brand new Dyson v12 detect slim. It is awesome. It was easy to put together and feels very sturdy. Itโs nice and slim too which I like. I actually like this better than the Dyson Floor Dok as the base is slimmer and it holds all the attachments. Itโs also 1/3 of the price! I wasnโt sure if I really needed this but itโs actually very handy to have all the attachments easily accessible plus an easy way to set your vacuum in the charger and donโt have to worry about it falling like if you had it rested on the wall. I would recommend this to everyone!

Wish we had bought this years ago
Bought this to help declutter our kitchen/dining room which is where we openly stored our Dyson V8 vacuum. Before, we basically tried to keep the Dyson out of sight on the floor and in the corner of our dining room, but it really looked awful and felt lazy. Thought about using the built-in wall mount on the charging tray for the Dyson but couldnโt find a good location that wouldnโt be distracting or overly noticeable, so this stand was actually the perfect find for what we needed. Assembly was very simple and the material quality of the hardware and fasteners seems very good. All set up, the stand feels very stable and sturdy. Holds all of the different attachments well, and is really easy to take the vacuum on and off the stand.

Stylish Dyson stand!
I liked this Dyson stand better than some others. The base is a heavier and all metal so there is far less rocking than expected. The rest of the stand is plastic. There is space enough for 4 attachments so no worries there. There are also some nice little touches like rubber caps for the back of the screws that attach the dock so you don't scratch your walls, and the cord holders that run up the length of the stand. All in all, it holds your cordless Dyson very well and it looks good too. Lastly, although it is not listed, this will fit the dock for the Dyson V9. The pictures are my V9 attached to the stand.

Well-thought out, solid stand
I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. Quality components packed well in a small box. I believe everything is metal except for the plastic pegs. Assembly was straight-forward. It is quite compact occupying not much more space that it would hanging from the wall. With the two slots on the original dock and the four pegs it neatly holds six accessories. The base also accommodates a second power head. The cord is hidden neatly in the back. Everything is easy to access. The instructions tell you which holes to use to attach the dock for the V6/V7/V8/V11 and cyclone V10. Lifetime warranty. Really well thought out product, Very happy with it!
