The hinge was broken on both sides, so even if i glue it it is bound to fall apart again. I just taped it with gorilla tape for now because need this cage badly for my robo hamster!! I’ve never seen a water bottle like this. There is just a hole and it sits so high up, I’m not sure he can even reach it! I’m putting the food dish underneath the water bottle now & using the base of the pod for his food. Wheel is very loud and squeaky! Oh and he dropped straight down that tube! It should be at an angle! So I put some fluffy bedding halfway down to break his fall. Then he digs through it. I also added a tiny box and cut a mouse hole for him to hide. it wasn’t easy arranging his areas. I also cut a paper towel tube for him. It’s easier to transport him to the top part with that. I bought four to connect together. After receiving them though I have some major complaints. First, the water bottle sucks - you could easily upgrade to a better water bottle which could be mounted outside the cage giving the animal more room inside... but... there's no way to plug up the hole that the water bottle goes into. I mean, I'm sure where there's a will there's a way. But there's no easy way and because of the other issues it wouldn't be worth it. Second the wheel is too small for any animal that would be large enough not to be able to squeeze through the flimsy bars. Take that in for a minute.The extra loft thing that attaches on top... doesn't latch securely and while you could do something to keep it closed tight it would then become a pain to get into for cleaning or to visit with your animal. I mean... seriously... the two pieces of the latching mechanism don't meet up properly. On all four units I bought.The straight tubes on all four units don't come together right but I fixed that by shaving part of it off with a razor and then sanding.. before I realized all the other stuff.and last - and probably the worst of it - there's this HUGE gap in the top lid where someone could really easily jam their head through and get stuck.
