I am thoroughly impressed with the Amazon Basics 73-Piece set. It is rare to find a kit that handles both "heavy" household repairs and delicate electronics equally well, but this set manages to bridge that gap perfectly. THE RATCHETING DRIVER: VERSATILE SETTINGS: The main handle features three settings: clockwise, counter-clockwise, and fixed. The ratcheting mechanism is smooth and saves a significant amount of wrist fatigue when you are tightening long screws or bolts. ERGONOMIC GRIP: The handle is thick and rubberized, which gives you excellent leverage and a non-slip grip, even if your hands are a bit sweaty or oily from a project. STABLE PRESSURE: I really like the free-spinning base on the handle. It allows you to keep constant downward pressure on the screw with one hand while you turn the handle with the other, which prevents the bit from slipping out and stripping the screw head. PRECISION ELECTRONICS TOOLS: DELICATE WORK: The smaller precision bits are a lifesaver for tech repairs. I’ve used them for everything from tightening the hinges on my glasses to opening up a laptop and a smartphone. NON-MAGNETIC PRECISION: Note that the precision bits are non-magnetic. CONS: CASE LATCH: The plastic latch on the case feels a bit thin. You’ll want to be gentle with it to ensure it doesn't snap off over time with heavy use. THE VERDICT: Whether you are a homeowner doing basic maintenance or a hobbyist who likes to tinker with electronics, this is an essential kit. It’s organized, durable, and covers 95% of the fasteners you’ll find in a modern home. This is definitely a 5-star "all-in-one" solution.

Works well, ratcheting saves my wrist a lot of work without having to strain, great value for what you pay for, has saved me five times already with the various parts you get.

Doesnt feel very good but does the job but for the price its worth it

Great little kit to have around the house to save struggling into the garage everytime you have one of those 'little DIY jobs' you need doing. I found myself using the kit the day they arrived to undo a battery cover on something (why do they have those little screws on battery covers nowadays?). The kit is slim enough to fit in a drawer and comprehensive enough to cover most simple jobs including when you need and allen key or to remove a small bolt and nut. The screwdriver extends about 4 inches to help you reach fiddly areas and contains small screwdrivers for when you need to fix a pair of glasses for instance. I like that everything is in one place and that it is easy to see if a piece is missing. Could be improved by adding a simple magnet to the inside of the case to hold the screws when you remove them but I am being fussy. The screwdriver doesnt feel very strong in my hand, the handle feels like quite cheap plastic for instance, but I wouldnt be using this kit every day or for tasks where a 'proper' screwdriver is needed. Overall a great kit to have in a kitchen drawer for easy access

If there was a 10 star option this would get them. At £8.39 at this low price it is insane value. Mine arrived today 27/08/26...First impressions are the case is substantial and well made....It looks like it will take a few knocks and will last. The 'driver' itself is inspired...the 'shaft' having 4 length adjustments through groves in the shaft and a sprung collar(ball bearing inside the collar) to lock it into place. That is innovation I have not seen in all my decades on this earth.....more than I care to remember. The driver end swivels making use of it even more user friendly. No more driver end rubbing the palm of your hand skin away. The 'bits' set is insane....73 pieces ranging from drivers so small I can't identify them to star drives, hex heads, pozi drives, slot screwdrivers and sockets ranging from 4mm to 13mm..and of course the ubiquitous PZ2 driver everyone should have. Are the 'bits' any good...are they made of decent metal or 'cheese'? Time will tell but even if they are not made of super hard steel I'm sure they will work fine. If they don't and they chew up this is still a decent 'driver' which takes standard size screwdriver interchangeable bits. So can I recommend it? Absolutely...at this price it is a 'steal'.....Oh and I forgot to mention earlier....It's magnetic so holds your 'magnetic' material screws/nuts etc in place while 'driving/screwing'. Bonus. My only negative comment is that the hex/collar that accepts the 'shaft' is specific to the dimension of the 'shaft'. It does not accept the 'bits' so you have to use the shaft/bits holder. I think that if it had been the same dimension as the bits it would have made this already amazing 'driver' design into an 'awesome' one.

Good price, good product. General and miscellaneous use

It's really good quality and well built. The bits fit securely even in a drill, and it comes with a wide variety of different tips, making it very versatile. The only downside is that the very small bits can bend slightly because they're made from such thin metal.

This is the best, most compact and lightweight fully-functional ratcheting 1/4" bit driver I've ever found. It isn't the toughest or the highest quality, but it's good enough, and it's small enough that it won't weigh down a toolbag. The extendible spindle is helpful, too. I really wish someone sold this ratcheting driver separate from this particular kit. I can't even find it as a part of any other particular kit. There are many that I've found that are similar, but they either don't ratchet, don't extend, or don't natively use 1/4" bits. I wouldn't necessarily put a ton of torque on the driver, or anything, and for all I know, the ratchet mechanism may be flimsy plastic - if you have a need for that kind of force, you should know better than to use a driver like this. But being super-strong isn't the only thing that makes a tool good - for some of us, being able to pack it into a small tool bag with a set of bits and not break our backs hauling it around is the real standout feature. If you have a use for a decent bit driver that won't bog you down, this kit is worth buying just for that. The bits are fine, too, they seem to be exactly like all the other cheap imported 4 mm bits that any of these kits come with, but the driver... the driver is something special. I have no idea why this kit seems to be the only possible way to source it.
