Appear to be very well made. The laces are synthetic and sleeved with a nylon or comparable sleeve around them. They slip easily when you try to tighten them. Unfortunately mine cut thru on a sharp eyelet and once the sleeve material slides over the under lace you can no longer pull them through the eyelets. So I was without boots until I bought new laces and a different product that won't repeat that problem. I would suggest laces that aren't so slipping so you can keep some tension on them while lacing up. These have been great so far. No foot pain during break in. Very comfortable. The 400 gram boots are very warm. It was 17 the other morning and my feet where not cold. In fact they were a little to warm. Just waiting to see how warm they will be in snow. Seem to be a little larger than my other pair of golden retriever boots of same size.
