He was upset at first but after explaining my intentions, it was better received. My husband has ASD (autism spectrum disorder/Aspergers) and often seeks out a mentor or example for how things should be done in life. Many of us take that inherent, intuitive approach for granted. After reading this book his outlook on his role in this relationship changed. He identified some areas that he could work on (primarily, his negative attitude) and so far (at least 3 weeks and counting now) he has been able to maintain some semblance of positive. This has transformed our relationship. I cannot say that it will continue indefinitely (I may request he read it again if the overwhelming negativity sets in again) but I can say for someone that has the desire to be the best version of themselves in their marriage or romantic relationship, this book will be beneficial.I have not read the book. My husband has only shared with me a glimpse of what he read, but I am more than pleased to have purchased it.
