wasnt sure why my headset mic was not working, happened to be this piece. original did not have any visible damage, might have been internal from bending mic around during use

It’s just okay..
It was okay.. kind of like something you’d buy at five below. It connected to the headphones but the volume quality was kind of rough. The cord length was pretty good for what it is, not much of a weight to it so the build quality is just okay. I’d say it’s alright for a short term use until you get a better one.

I bought this microphone (Replacement Game Mic for Kingston HyperX Cloud Alpha) on Amazon because the microphone that came with my HyperX headphones was broken, and this is a great replacement. 5/5 Stars! The audio quality is great, definitely even a little better then the ones that came with my gaming headset. I must say, I really love this. It even came with a nice little pop filter!!! -Audio Quality is great -Came with the popfilter attachment -Easy to use and works with the mute button on the cable If you are considering this microphone, don't hesitate because it is worth it!

My son needed a new mic for his steel series headset. I found this on amazon and for the price point, it was a no brainer to buy. I gave it to him and he said it was just as good as the oem one he had. I would suggest this for anyone looking for a replacement mic, and it seems universal for my other manufacturers.
