DOKIO 160W 18V Solar Panel Kit Monocrystalline Portable Flexible Folding Include Solar Charge Controller and PV Cable for 12V Battery Charging Camper Van

First real test of the panel this weekend and I can only echo the majority of the reviews on here, it really did the job and did it well. We used on our caravan with a 120AH battery and the panel charged the battery each morning by about 10 am, on one night the battery was very low and it had no trouble charging it. Very pleased, threw it on the roof of the caravan and secured it to stop it slipping, no issues at all. Really pleased, now just need to decide if we want a second battery to completely open up the world of off grid sites to us.

I was delighted that this solar panel survived the storms on Friday but also the caravan was on site over the bank holiday weekend where we had no electric hook up. I wired an extra leisure battery in parallel with this panel and fitted a 15amp fuse on the live connection from the panel to the battery and from Thursday night until about 8:00 pm on bank holiday Monday the batteries showed fully charged at the end. Without the solar panel I am sure the batteries would have been flat within a day or so. People charged their phones from the charge controller and power was used for 12volt lights, the electric toilet flush pump, the water pump and for igniting the gas cooker and gas fridge. I did not have time to fit the mains inverter I had bought which would have drawn a lot of current if it was used. In conclusion I would highly recommend this solar panel kit. This was my first time I had gone into solar panel generation and it has given me the confidence to install off grid solar for my home garden workshop where larger 36v solar panels will be used with a much larger charge controller. When folded up the solar panel was small enough to fit flat in the bottom of the caravan wardrobe keeping it safe when towing the caravan.

Really good piece of kit. Good value for money. Easy to use and charges the leisure battery well. Sadly the solar controller stopped working after a few weeks. Currently in talks with the seller to arrange a replacement, but been happy so far

Great upgrade from my single 30W panel. Use in my small campervan with 2x70AH AGM leisure batteries. Kept voltage up during the day with good sunlight and a 60W fridge running and other small electronics being used throughout the day. Happy with the product.

Although it comes with a solar charge controller I am using this panel on holiday with a Victron mppt 75/10 which gets the most out of these 18 volt panels. So far, even in the dank weather we are having at the moment , the system is keeping my 100 ah lithium battery at optimum charge even with a fridge/freezer box permanently connected. Very much recommended! Just one thing though, I would have preferred some sort of attachment to the back of the panels to keep them propped up. As it is I leave them propped against the awning.

Perfect solar panel kit! So happy with this 150w unit. Super fast delivery next day by 10am. We purchased this to power our vw campervan whilst off grid. Our van runs a Waeco fridge etc and the usual other electrics. This thing comfortably charges our leisure battery. On a sunny day we easily achieved 8.8amp charging and on cloudy days were getting 2.5 - 4.5amps. Nice and easy to use, clear instructions (some incorrect spelling but easy enough to understand) quick to put up and pack away with a nice storage pocket on the front once folded away to pop the wiring and control box in. All in all really impressed well worth the buy. Thank you

The item overall seems to be put together well and the quality is fine its high quality materials and the panels themselves seem ok, however when it comes to the claimed 160 watts. I managed just 60 watts maximum on a hot day with the panels angled directly towards the sun so this lead me to returning the panels for a refund as they did not quite meet my expectations.

Im really pleased with this larger capacity (160w) solar set up. Everything you need is included + there are even 2 x USB sockets in the control box. Im just back from a 3 day festival in our campervan in really hot conditions where I had the compressor fridge running continuously, the leisure batteries were still really full before we drove home. I also have the Dokio 100w solar set up - I've had it for at least 6 years and it is still working well. Definitely recommend this brand and set up.
