Another incredible product from Peak Design
This backpack is incredible, just like most Peak Design products. Every corner is thoughtful and every feature is intentional. I love this as a larger alternative to my sling back and it holds plenty of gear including most days a Nikon Z8 with attached 50mm, 70-200, 35mm, flash, and a fully packed tech pouch. Itโs comfortable and so easy to use on the go.

Best diaper bag, ever
The side opening and adjustable width compartments make it just as helpful for baby gear as it does camera gear. My brother used it for his diaper bag and raved about it. We first bought a cheaper travel backpack to avoid the pricey investment, but broke down to buy this one after 6 months of struggling with getting all the baby gear in and out of the bag easily. We took this back on a 2 week trip to visit family right after we got it and it was a miracle-worker. So easy to travel with! We put diapers in the bottom compartment, bottles in the middle, and toys in the top compartments where they would be most accessible on the plane without having to open the entire bag. The expansion top is really clutch for quick access and storing a swaddle, hoodie and any soft stuffies or larger toys. The tie down straps on the outside helped us carry a small park blanket and his travel baby wipes container. The water bottle/tripod pocket on both sides can hold a parentโs water bottle and babyโs water bottle. Itโs soo comfortable on the back (unlike the BellRoy backpacks) and it has great adjustable straps for shorties like me and taller people. My one and only complaint is the lack of an inside or outside zipper pocket on the top flap of the bag. The older Everyday 20L Zip-Up pack has the inside pocket feature, itโs not exactly clear why they got rid of it on the extension pack. When the bag is full, expander is fully out, you desperately need that pocket. It drives me nuts that I canโt quickly shove a pacifier, or a straw, or small, tiny items like bandaids right in top for easy access. Thereโs a half pocket on the laptop bag slot, but itโs too narrow/compressed flat to fit a pacifier or bulkier small item. The side pockets on the side-opening flaps are too shallow/not tall enough. A lot of people have complained about this in blogs comparing the two models. Please add a zip pocket on the under side of the expansion flap and it will be the perfect bag!

One Pack to Rule Them All
This backpack is the best pack I have ever owned bar none. I have Hex, Chrome, and Lowepro packs to name a few. They are all great in their own way and good for what I used them for, but this pack is more versatile, useful, and comfortable to carry. I have lower back problems, and some packs irritate my back, and I end up in pain. Not this pack. Itโs so easy to adjust while wearing so that my back issues when carrying gear have gone away. I am a teacher. Due to the pandemic, I teach my courses online and enhance them with videos. I decided to shoot those videos vlog style and post them on YouTube. I needed a backpack to carry my camera, lenses, microphones, and other gear. I shoot these videos hiking with my dogs every morning. This pack has room for all my stuff and then some. I have used this pack for a couple of weeks and am still discovering ways to adapt the space to better suit the gear I want to carry. This is one of the best purchases that I have ever made. I have the Peak Design capture clip, too. Peak Design is a company that like Apple are never done perfecting their equipment. They use what they build and listen to their customers. That combination means their equipment is refined and goes beyond your expectations for how they work. I will continue to purchase their products because they are well made, and Peak Design stands behind their work providing lifetime guarantees. They are a green company with zero carbon emissions. I liked the charcoal and midnight blue colors better but bought the black because itโs the vegan option. If you are looking for an everyday backpack that is versatile, well made, comfortable to carry that protects your gear, buy this pack. You wonโt be sorry. Itโs the one pack to rule them all my precious.

A Fantastic Backpack with One Minor Drawback
I recently purchased the Peak Design Everyday Backpack V2 30L, and overall, I am extremely pleased with its performance and durability. It's a remarkable backpack that fulfills its promise of being an everyday companion for all my needs. However, I must deduct a star from my rating due to its limited space for cylindrical items such as pill containers and mini tripods. Let's start with the positives. This backpack is a true workhorse, designed to withstand the rigors of everyday use. The build quality is exceptional, with robust materials and solid construction. The zippers are smooth and reliable, ensuring quick access to my belongings. The weatherproofing features have proven to be effective, providing peace of mind during unexpected downpours. The various compartments and pockets are intelligently organized, making it easy to keep my essentials sorted and accessible. The comfort level of this backpack is outstanding. The shoulder straps are well-padded and adjustable, allowing for a customized fit. The back panel offers excellent ventilation, which prevents excessive sweating during extended wear. The weight distribution is well-balanced, even when carrying heavy loads. The sternum strap and waist belt add an extra layer of stability, particularly when I'm on the move or traveling. Despite all these remarkable features, there is one area where the Everyday Backpack falls short. The inner pockets, while thoughtfully designed, lack sufficient space for cylindrical items. Pill containers and mini tripods, for instance, do not fit comfortably in any of the designated compartments. While I appreciate the backpack's focus on versatility and organization, this limitation restricts its usefulness for photographers, travelers, or anyone who relies on such items. However, it's worth mentioning that the backpack's flexibility allows for workarounds. Utilizing the external attachment points or using the versatile FlexFold dividers can help accommodate these cylindrical items, albeit not as conveniently as dedicated pockets would have allowed. In conclusion, the Peak Design Everyday Backpack V2 30L is an exceptional product, living up to its reputation as a sturdy and reliable companion for everyday use. It boasts outstanding durability, comfort, and organization, making it an ideal choice for most individuals. However, its limited space for cylindrical items, such as pill containers and mini tripods, is a minor drawback that prevents me from giving it a perfect score. Despite this limitation, I highly recommend this backpack to anyone in need of a reliable and stylish companion for their daily adventures.

Great Multi-Use Bag
I bought the Peak Design Sling 6L for travel. Turns out I want to carry more than camera gear when traveling, so a backpack is in order (Sling moves to "local use"). This pack allows for various configuration and "shrinks down" to less than 20L if extra space is not needed. But expands if so. Fits: Nikon Zf w/ 40mm F/2 lens attached, Nikon 24-70 F/4 S, TTArtisans 70mm F/2, and Nikon 28mm F/2.8. AND also leaves space for tablet and laptop as well as more than 50% space for "stuff" like clothes, jacket, etc. without using the external options (straps, external pockets, etc.). Not to mention the various pockets for batteries, SD cards, wallet, etc.

This is not a camera bag; this is a bag that can hold a camera.
I purchased this product to carry an expensive camera setup on an upcoming photography trip. I bought it because: - I need something to protect my investment - I need something that is small enough to be a carry-on for plane travel - I need to be able to fit one mirrorless camera and 3 lenses + batteries, filters, etc - I need side openings to access the camera without putting the bag down - I need to fit a laptop and - I need it to be comfortable and highly portable. Unfortunately, I do not feel that this bag works. Pros: - Stylish - Clever - Small enough to get on a plane as carry-on - Fits a laptop - Feels and looks like quality materials - You can put a camera into it Cons: - The dividers are clever, but frankly ineffective to protect lenses and camera, and do not form enclosed spaces for smaller items. As a result, lenses are not snug in enclosures, they sort of rattle around lose, and there is not enough storage for small things (batteries, filters, camera cleaning stuff, etc) - So many straps, hard to tell how useful they really are. - The tripod sack is ineffective. I have the PeakDesign carbon travel tripod, and it feels awkward in it. - The top compartment (the one that you close with the Maglatch) is not secure enough. - The top compartment, does not really tightly close. Any rain or even drizzle would pose a threat to the equipment. - In general, I do not feel comfortable storing expensive lenses in this thing. I purchased a Lowepro Protactic BP 450 Aw Ii instead, and I am returning this as I have no use for it.

Love the low profile and beautiful design with the little details on this backpack!
I originally ordered the 20L version of this backpack. After a couple of weeks it was too small for my usage. I felt like it was too cramp for me to fit everything inside. I exchanged it for the 30L version and there was a huge difference. The 30L is much more usable for me. It's roomier, and feel like I can hold everything I needed and have space for more. The magnetic latch is really nice and make it easy to access the backpack without much struggle. The zippers on the left and right side is also very well made and felt durable, the zippers can be open both ways on left and right side. The backpack internal layout can be change to however you like and I appreciate that feature very much. I can reorganize things to however i feel like. The biggest plus for me about this backpack is how well thought the designer put into the little details. Every little hidden pockets, and all the location you can use to hook things onto your backpack. The water bottle pocket has a little hole inside for water to drip out of you happen to spill water in there or rain drip down in that area. The material feels really nice and durable, its quite thick and feel like it can take some beating. The laptop compartment is also nice as you can adjust the compart to fit the size of your laptop so that small laptop doesnt fall all the way down in the backpack and you have to reach deep in for it. Overall, the details are well thought out. On to the negative. What I dont like about this backpack is the shoulder strap, they fit well but they dont provide enough comfort and cushion when you load to much stuffs into your backpack. If you're carrying camera and laptop inside the backpack, walking around with this backpack on after a while will put some strain on your shoulder. They should do a major upgrade on the padding for the shoulder straps. The other complaint I is when you open the sides of the backpack to get your camera out, stuffs that you load on the very top compartment can fall out to the sides. So if you put a bunch of tiny things at the top compartment be careful when unzipping the left side and right side of the backpack or else things will come falling out. One of my other complaint has to do with the heat dissipation for your back. After carrying this backpack for a few hours at events, I can feel my back building up a lot of heat (and I dont sweat very much either). I can feel that my back was getting really hot and started to sweat. I find myself having to take my backpack off to let my back cool off pretty frequently. Other than that, I really like this backpack and I hope it will hold up well over the years. Very happy with it so far.
