Sylvia Sawyer has her life upended, and now she's moving back to her family at Cloverleigh Farms, a single mother with two children who are devastated that their father left their family for another woman. Sylvia has enough to deal with between healing her family, finding herself, buying a house and getting a job, and a relationship with Henry DeSantis, the vintner for Cloverleigh Farms, couldn’t happen at a worse time. So what do Sylvia and Henry do with all the chemistry, desire and need they have for each other when there's no other choice but to walk away?This entire series has been amazing, and just when I think it's impossible for the writing to get any better, we get Unbreakable. I just might be second guessing myself on reading this writer's books because this one was freaking intense! So much authentic angst, my heart was all over the place: happy, then crushed, then merry, then stomped on, then euphoric and blissfully happy! Gah. How she packs so much in and draws so much out of the reader is a mystery to me, and it’s the sweetest, most wonderful agony! I had such a huge smile on my face that my cheeks hurt while reading, becoming so emotionally invested that I had tears in my eyes at moments between Sylvia and her daughter Whitney.Both fresh off of divorces, Sylvia and Henry find solace in talking to another kindred spirit who is lost in what life is like after a split and finding a new normal. Sylvia’s discovering herself again and how to overcome her insecurities about her body and whether she was still beautiful after having children. And Henry, man did I fall absolutely in love with how real and honest he was, so down to earth and humble about his wine making talent, a lonely man looking to have the family he always wanted. I knew Sylvia Sawyer was my kind of girl.Sylvia Sawyer goes rogue at the Christmas lunch where she lets her cheating douche of a husband and his new much younger, pregnant wife know exactly what she thinks of them. Sylvia returns to home to Cloverfield Farms determined to make a fresh start with her children and allow her damaged heart to heal. Enter Henry DeSantis who is also divorced and not looking for a relationship anytime soon until he meets up with Sylvia. The attraction between these two is electric and scorching when they hit the sheets. The path of true love doesn't run smoothly for these two and Sylvia finds herself having to choose between her own happiness and that of her children. Is it too soon to be in a relationship with Henry? (No!!!! is what you'll be shouting as you read). Unbreakable is such a romantic read you can't help but fall in love with the characters Melanie Harlow has created. It's so swoon-worthy and toe tingling. Henry is delicious and Sylvia is adorable. I really enjoyed it.
