This book explains things in depth, while also breaking things down in to useful charts and diagrams, which makes it a great supplement to your physio class. I also used this book when I was studying for the TEAS entrance test for nursing school, and it helped so much more than any of the TEAS prep books for the science portion of the test. And best of all, they don’t charge a ridiculous price for it, even though it’s better than loads of those $200 textbooks. This thing is legit
I never write reviews for textbooks, but this thing is legit. It was required for my human physiology class, but it has served me even beyond that class. I’m the kind of person who needs to understand something to learn it. This book explains things in depth, while also breaking things down in to useful charts and diagrams, which makes it a great supplement to your physio class. I also used this book when I was studying for the TEAS entrance test for nursing school, and it helped so much more than any of the TEAS prep books for the science portion of the test. And best of all, they don’t charge a ridiculous price for it, even though it’s better than loads of those $200 textbooks. I will be keeping this book for years to come, and plan to reference it while I’m in nursing school

hate the class but the textbook is nice
i dont like my physiology class but this textbook does a good job at explaining what is going on i bought it used and it came in almost new condition

Clear descriptions and diagrams
I really like this text by Lauralee Sherwood - her descriptions are clear and coherent, and though physiology can be quite a broad field, she covers most of the important topics in this book, which comes in a a relatively slim 772 pages.

Best Physio Book Ever
Wow wow wow! I actually loved this book. The writing style was easy to understand, and many pictures/diagrams/illustrations were included. My favorite part was the tear out study cards in the back of the book that had information for each chapter covered. I highly recommend this book!

Pleasure to soul and mind
It's exceptionally good book. I simply love it. Opening the book itself creates pleasure and excitment in my mind. All students and teachers of life sciences (and not only medical sciences) must have a copy of it and read it.

THE BEST PHYSIOLOGY TEXTBOOK. Ever.
If you want to understand EVERY SINGLE CONCEPT in PHYSIOLOGY, then read this textbook. Not Guyton, not Silverthorn, not Gannong, not Berne and Levy, not Boron, not even Costanzo, but this physiology.
