Dirty Girls Come Clean

As a long time youth ministry and now pastoral ministry family we've encountered dozens of young men who confess addiction to pornography. However, we've learned that there are just as many young women who struggle with this issue was well. When asked for good resources we couldn't find any - until this book! It's the first book we've ever found that not only addresses pornography addiction from a female perspective, but from a biblical one as well. I've since bought several copies of this book because I keep giving it away to fellow leaders and parents. My only issue is with the title. While I understand the concept of the title, I've found that it puts some off to the book. I would love to see something a little more understated for those who are still struggling and don't wish to have their issues so obviously broadcast when carrying it around. Very well written, very usable content, and extremely relevant.

Crystal does a great job of coming alongside women and letting them know they aren't alone. This book is simple and encouraging as it walks women through 5 steps: surrender, confession, accountability, responsibility, and sharing. One of my favorite things was the testimonies of individual women at the end of each chapter. When victory feels impossible - it's good to read really stories of women who are on the road to victory. This book will be a tremendous resource for many years to come.

There were parts of every story that I could relate to. As I fight for freedom, I found this book to be a good use of my time and an inspiration to continue sharing my story.

I read this book after being familiar with the organization "DGM". The book is honest and helpful. It provides truth and tools. This book gives HOPE to those stuck in the trap of sexual addictions (mainly pornography). This book shines the light that women struggle with sexual addictions, yes women struggle with pornography. It's so taboo in today's society. It's great that someone has spoken up to help open the prison door for us women to walk out! Yay! It's a must read. It'll make you think twice before one starts to judge their neighbor.....

The excerpts from all the woman and their stories of how pornography had affected them was truly eye opening. The gravity of this addiction hit me through the story of one woman’s son walking in on her watching pornography. She was shook and knew she had to change her ways. I am not a mother but Icouldn’t imagine that happening to me, or that I would let this addiction last so long. So I vowed to really do something about it in my life. Those stories made me feel not so alone but also woke me up to the truth of this addiction.

I thank God for this ministry. I praise Him for freedom to leave my past and sinful life behind and walk in His righteousness and freedom. Hearing the stories of all these brave women gave me courage and helped me step out in faith from my own shame. I encourage you to read this book if sexual addiction is your struggle. All glory to God!

Helpful but not really what I was looking for. Found a lot of grammar mistakes as well. Liked the inclusion of stories from others

This book was very helpful and informative. Its interesting to understand that this is an issue for girls too. Definitely recommend.
