This spring clamp fits very tight around the door making it difficult (impossible) to install without the proper tools. If it didn't fit so tight it wouldn't do the job it is designed to do, so do yourself a favor and buy both the clamp and the installation tool.

This was an exact match for the outer spring band on my LG WM2455HW washer. The old one was rusted and since I was replacing the rubber boot anyway I picked up this replacement. A perfect fit! Just make sure you buy the special spring pliers. While you might get away not using them on this outer band, the inner spring band is incredibly difficult to do without them. Spend the $9 on the pliers, you will thank me later. It took all of 10 minutes to replace everything using them.

Good price BUT too big for my washer.

The loops at the end of the hoop bend during installation and the installation tool slips out. The original has a circular loop connecting to the spring and is much stronger and does not bend. It tried for 20 minutes to install this without luck. Reinstalled the rusted original in 30 seconds. Look for another vendor. This product is not a quality part. I read the reviews highlighting this issue and thought it was user error but no the product is of ooor design.

This spring is a perfect fit however I do highly recommend buying the spring tool that goes with it. It's nearly impossible to put it on without that tool

I bought this clamp spring set to replace my outer front factory clamp and spring because the factory one has been reused twice now and the spring tension was not adequate to reuse a third time. This clam was the correct size and the spring was the correct size and tension however the eyelets and service loop on the springs were not to factory specs so the spring expansion tool would not fit as it does with the factory one which means I had to mod the spring and factory loops for it to work. Upon mod and spring expansion one of the loops on the clamp for the spring just broke off despite a very careful mod, causing me to simply use the new spring with my mod to the eyelets on the old factory clamp which ended up working fine in the end. Overall while it is not designed correctly in my opinion and definitely does not match the factory part I was happy to finish the project and get the laundry done. If you are not in a hurry I would go with a genuine factory part from LG however it was a 2 week wait time for that. Would I do this again, 50/50 for me.

We ordered this when we were doing some repairs on our washer. The old ring was fairly easy to get off but we noticed it was very rusted and was going to break at anytime so ordered a new one. The new ones are quite difficulty to get on but it is because they need to be tight around the rubber gasket so the machine doesn't leak. We used 2 pairs of pliers with each of us holding a pair and pulling the ring to clasp it. It took a few tries and my father in law coming to help and it is done. No more leaking rubber gasket on our front loader.

The part is too short . The lg washer door has a diameter of 18 inches . That would make the circumference approximately 56 inches . This part is a total of 48 inches without plus the spring . I even bought the stretch tool and I still couldn't make it work .
