Why does the heading say carbon steel, but the description says stainless steel. Are they made in Switzerland?

It is stamped on the peeler "Switzerland'. The color on the blade is black so I am assuming it is carbon steel not stainless steel. Because of your question, I googled the difference between carbon and stainless. This is the difference: Stainless steel has a high chromium content which acts as a protective layer against corrosion and rust. Carbon steel is high in carbon that when exposed to moisture can corrode and rust quickly. Stainless steel is is more appealing to the eye and can be use for decorative products. Carbon Steel is stronger and more durable then stainless steel. Hope this helps.

Will it rust? Is it stainless steel?

No it will not rust ! Have had mine for over a year and it is still razor sharp. Thought it would not hold up but I use it everyday !

There are 2 kinds of peelers in the set: vegetable peeler, corn peeler. In addition,there is a bottle opener, a pizza cutter and a grater.

Original Vegetable Peeler Carbon Steel Blade 3-Pack Carbon steel blade will rust if not air dried or wiped dry. This has never been a problem for me when rinsed and air-dried in the dish drainer or run thru the dishwasher. These are the BEST peelers on the market IMO. The blades stay sharp, remove peels with ease, and the circular bit on the side digs out potato eyes and other imperfections. I haven’t used any of the other food peelers shown.
