TLDR - It's a must have for 2nd Gen Nissan Frontiers I have a nissan frontier with so many cigaret lighters from the factory you'd think I'm a chain smoker. This is EXACTLY what I needed because the usb port that connects to the factory stereo actually DRAINS phone battery. The install was pretty easy. Wiring was straight forward (black = negative and white = positive in my truck) I don't care about the colors or the little display but it's a nice feature for those who want it. It charges my samsung S21 FE faster than a regular cigaret lighter adapter bit not as fast as a 30w fast charger. I've seen ppl online plugging it into a different fuse socket to get the max power out of it but honestly stick power is all I need. For road trips it'll keep my devices charged. For the commute to work it gives me an extra 10% battery or so. At this price, I might buy 3 more for the rest of the cigaret lighters in this truck!

this is actually a very cool little device. it allows me to monitor the battery voltage in digital format at a glance. in fact, it helped me catch a failing battery in my vehicle which saved me from being stranded with a dead battery somewhere by signaling it was time for replacement. The device arrived fairly quickly and was easy to install for me. i simply popped the cigarette lighter out and put this in as a direct replacement. Wires that came with it were all pre-terminated so it took me less than 10 minutes including the time it took to figure out how to get access to where i needed to work. Buy this gizmo if you want to do away with the plug in USB adapters for the cigarette lighter socket...thing...everybody uses for USB adapters anyway.

I installed this usb socket in my 1992 Nissan 240SX to get rid of the old cigarette lighter socket and i got to say that it is the best upgrade i have done! Not only is it functional but it is a practical need for my car since i wanted to know the amount of volts i am getting from my cars battery. With a built in LED display voltage meter i highly recommend those with older cars to have this. On the bright side it is a fast charging usb port for my iPhone. Get ready to sand down the hole where the usb port goes if its to small on your car like i did but it was not a big deal.

It's a fairly accurate voltmeter (+- maybe 0.5V), which is about what one would expect. Visibility is good, but somewhat reduced if the protective cover is closed. The two USB 3.0 ports are very handy. Installation requires a cigarette-lighter-sized hole into which to mount the voltmeter. It's not exactly built like a battleship, but it's pretty sturdy compared to the rest of the field.

Works

Used it on my 2001 Harley Ultra Classic to replace the cigarette lighter. Had to drill out the hole a tad bit bigger to 3/4. After that it just plugged right in. Used the OE connectors. Fits wonderfully.

Works perfectly. I can finally charge my phone in the car instead of it just dying more slowly with those crappy cigarette lighter adapters. And the integrated volt meter is a perfect OEM+ looking solution for monitoring the batteries for my sound system.
