I would definitely recommend the two coats, but even with one coat, I know it helped minimize barnacles and other growth. I did clean the hull a few times while in the water, and the barnacles wiped right off. After getting home, I did have some barnacle growth, but after scraping them off, I believe this coating allowed the hull cleaner to easily remove the calcium deposits. I will definitely be buying more! Review: It does what it says … mostly - So it’s pretty good. If you are wet slipping it will mostly keep your boat free of algae. Barnacles it does okay on but not perfect. It is a long process to get it on. 2 coats 4 days. It is a lot of work. Idk if end of day you spend more time then just acid washing your boat end of season. But maybe so. I’d recommend it. ### ⭐ Does not prevent growth *by N***E on August 28, 2022* I applied 2 coats on the bottom of a 21ft boat. This wax did not prevent growth at all. I attempted to keep the growth off by cleaning it constantly with a brush but I could not stop it. I had to have the boat pulled, power washed, acid washed and then bottom painted.
