I could never get my assistants to coil it correctly (under/over), and when tried to do it myself, it was a struggle. I have another air hose in my garage that is not problem, but the cheap air hose had some permanent kinks and twists in it. I decided to replace it, and this hose reel is about the price of a good quality 50' hose, so it was a no brainer. It was easy to install and easy to use. This isn't "professional grade" (it's plastic) but for my home DIY shop it's perfect. EDIT: After I purchased this, Harbor Freight offered a metal hose reel for about the same price. After a few weeks, the retraction started to get finicky and then the quick connect tool adapter stopped working. I had to stop what I was doing and run out to my local hardware store for a replacement connector. All in all, I'm still happy I bought it. But if I was doing it over and was willing to wait, I might have waited for a better deal on a more robust reel made of metal.
