Works great for different cars and trucks
This is a great scanner to have in your shop are just at home for your use and works on everything I have used it for so far. Have even used it on my tractor to get a close ideal of what might be going on. It seems to work on all model cars and trucks if you download the app for the vehicle you are working on. Some do cost to use the app but if you are going to be using it a lot it will pay off in the long run. Its pretty fast when you hook it up and with the right app can get pretty dead on. Very easy to reset codes and easy to use when you get it hooked up. And like I said before compatibility with a lot of different vehicles. Came in fast and was well package.

Works flawlessly
I purchased this OBD2/USB adapter to make some modifications to my F250 Super Duty with Forscan. It has been fully compatible with my truck and my Dell laptop and not only reads codes, but easily allows changes to be made via Forscan. Compared to the other similar devices it's a great value, and it appears to be extremely rugged construction. The first try plugging it into the truck and my laptop, it connected, read all the da ta and instantly allowed me to make th e changes I wanted to make. It has the MS/HS switch which I need for my truck and that switch seems as sturdy as the rest of the adapter cable. It has worked flawlessly each time I've connected and made changes.

Works for some, but not all, FORScan procedures
Apparently FORScan only supports certain OBD II adapters, and this isn't one of them. I was able to clear transmission adaptive tables, disable the key-in-ignition chime, and of course read trouble codes. When I tried to enter the PATS procedure to program a spare key, FORScan refused to enter the procedure due to not supporting the adapter.

This cable and ForScan saved me over $800 in BS dealer fees in 1 day
Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles have PATS modules that use a 40 or 80 bit transponder built into the key to allow the PATS module to clear systems for vehicles start and run. There are a few ways to get more keys for a Ford PATS equipped vehicle: 1) dealer avg price 1 hr labor and tech time plus key(s) $200+ 2) Locksmith - same as above 3) This cable and ForScan software cost? This cable. Being a wholesale auto dealer, many times we get vehicles with 1 well worn key. With no keyless entry remote - paying some company or guy/girl $250 for a $3 Amazon key to be programmed to the car is literally stupid - especially when YOU can also buy the same exact $3 Amaxon key and program it yourself - total cost?, $3. Thats right, 3 bucks. Key and remote fob? $12 total - programmed yourself.,,,(search ForScan) i saved $800 with my first use of this cable with ForScan - you can too! ** note that with this cable and ForScan ive been able to program everything (on Ford Products) from an annoying seatbelt chime permanently off on a 2011 town car to adding OEM Factory trailer brake controllers with computer assisted hands free trailer backup on very late model (2017 and up) F150/250/350s - ive also edited config "AS BUILT" PCM options on 2 dozen Ford GM Chrysler vehicles - ive been programming out GM Active Fuel Management and engine start stop to default to OFF when on. I also have a 09 town car with a 660hp 32v 4.6 and ProCharger that i can use this to optimize fuel maps and even add factory remote start and much much more! This pays for itself first use - YMMV and PLEASE BACKUP YOUR STOCK OEM AS BUILT CONFIGURATION BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!! Computers do crash- or die for no apparent reason, should it do so mid programming, if you dont have a saved as built pcm file, you wont be happy for a looong time. And it will cost you thousands for a new PCM programmed to your vehicle - thats worst case scenario and RARELY happens - Note: ForScan does display on screen "THIS CABLE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH FORSCAN" of course it isnt, (works fine) they sell their own branded cables, which are exacrly these cables. Save money - buy this one

Worked for all my needs
Worked flawlessly and quickly using FORSCAN on a Windows 11 PC and connecting to my 2012 Ford Focus (Titanium, Hatchback, 2.0L I4) with both HS and MS CAN. I used this to switch my lowbeam type in the BCM to not give the dipped lowbeam fault after putting led lowbeams in. It was tricky figuring out how to use the software but this device gave me no problems on it'd end. Compared to other ELM327 OBD adapters out there, this was definitely worth the ~$20 price point I paid for it.

Advanced troubleshooting for Ford at an extreme value; saved me a ton of money and headache
After adding ~30 wires from my trunk to front end through the lower trim panels in my 2009 Fusion for a stereo, rear camera and additional accessories install; I was left with an airbag light ON after starting my car. At first I figured it was probably the passenger side impact sensor for the air bags, as that is located behind the lower-middle trim piece on the passenger side that was removed during the install. Reseating this connector and cleaning with clean contact cleaner seemed to fix it but it came back shortly after. A little research on the net showed that Ford controls the airbags mainly through the RCM (Restraint Control Module). From what I could tell, a normal scan tool with the added SRS airbags function wasn't going to give me the info I needed to locate the fault. I almost purchased one of the higher end Chinese scan tools but found this. After installing the drivers and the downloading the app, I had issues getting it to "connect to my vehicle" though the app's status showed the USB-to-OBD2 connection was working and device manager on Windows 10 showed the driver/adapter was being detected. I troubleshot a little, and found that they mention using the Windows compatibility mode for Windows 10, but that didn't seem to help. After another 10 minutes I noticed it wasn't seating as easily as my cheap ODB2 scan tools and found some plastic blocking it seating all the way. Bingo! Once connected to my vehicle the software read my HS-CAN bus, showed all it's modules, then asked if I had a "switch" on the controller and after flipping it then read my MS-CAN bus. It showed a B2295 fault on my RCM. An internet search then showed this is related to the seat mounted passenger airbags, but didn't tell which one. Using the scan tools "PID data" option I was able to select 4 PIDs related to the seat airbags, "P_ABAGR2", "PS_AB", "DS_AB" and "D_ABAGR2". These showed the real-time feedback resistance in ohms on the these circuits. Airbags should be over 0.9 ohms to ~4.3ohms to not cause RCM faults in my model. I found the PS_AB to be 5-7 ohms depending on seat position and articulation. So I removed fuse #25 to disable the RCM and pulled the airbag from the side of the seat. I then sprayed the contacts with cleaner and scrubbed them. I managed to get the connector a little more slack in the seat and bingo, 3 ohms no matter how the seat is articulated. The one of the wires looked a little strained but I didn't have the OEM airbag side connector so I didn't want to cut and solder it. I'll do that at a later date if needed, this scan tool allows me to check it anytime in the future. This thing saved me a ton of money and I wouldn't have suspected the fault being in the seat because I wasn't messing with it when the fault occurred; that would have been far down the troubleshooting flow chart. After the initial issues with the OBD2 port fitment, the thing works like a champ anytime. Hopefully someone might find this helpful!

Not for Renault Megane MK3
I'm able to import some data in DDT4ALL but due to a pin mis-config I'm unable to pull the radio data.
