I read that wipe warmers typically warm only the top wipe (not helpful if diaper change needs more than 1). How many wipes are warmed in this unit?

You need to add more wipes (another box) if they are not close to the lid. The heating element is in the lid so if you only have 1 pack of wipes inside it will not be close enough to get warm. For people having this problem just add a second set of baby wipes.

How bright is the night light? Can it be turned off? (I don't understand the auto shut off feature- some reviews seem to say light stays on at night?)

The small button at the top/front of warmer stays lit at all times. It’s not a “warm” light as is listed in the description but instead is a bright white light (think daylight bulbs). It emits a lot of light into a dark nursery so beware before purchasing. The light feature that DOES go off is the light associated with the clear window under the button. This light allows you to see inside the warmer/know if the diaper supply is low or not. If the lighting system of the whole diaper warmer was temporary, this would be a winner of a product.

Can you use this with cloth diaper wipes?

This works well as a pop-up warm wipe dispenser for GroVia cloth wipes. I fold 20 wipes in half interlocking, rinse the stack under the faucet, wring them out, and feed the top one through the slit. When there are only a few left, the box is no longer heavy enough to pull a wipe out one-handed; a heavier dispenser (or one with a weighted plate at the top) works better for this. If you prefer to just stack your wipes and open the lid to retrieve the top one, this doesn't matter.
