Nektar Panorama P1 is an AMAZING Digital Audio Workstation Controller
The Panorama P1 is an AMAZING Digital Audio Workstation Controller. I already own a Panorama P6 so I was VERY familiar with the capabilities of this product. Basically, the P1 is the control section of their keyboard versions (P4 & P6) less the motorized fader. The main idea of this product is to relieve you of usage of your mouse in our recording & engineering process in the studio. 4 modes to help your workflow: mixer, instrument, transport & internal. Great flexibility of control. The faders & knobs feel great. The transport control section buttons feel nice and respond well. The screen is a decent size and the chosen font & the varied use of colors on it is great. Lightweight and customizable to your chosen software via setup files from nektartech.com. The only things I think that could make this product better would be: 1) traditional MIDI I/O connecters but then you would need power or power through usb wall-wart when those are in use. 2) may be if all of the faders were motorized or at least if the master fader was motorized and assignable like on the keyboard versions. Of course this would change the price point but make it the king of DAW controllers. Amazing product. Amazing company. Amazing capabilities.

It's cool but will it REALLY help...
It works. If you have a supported DAW, and you think this will fit into your workflow get it. It's integrated all the way down. After I got it I started wondering if I really needed this... is it just a geeky distraction from making music? But it's grown on me and made some aspects of the workflow faster/easier. Get the Nektar NP-1 Foot Switch... plug it in and it can be programmed to give hands free on the fly alternate takes or whatever else you might want to do with a foot tap. Which while recording MIDI into Reason in loop mode is SUPER helpful. ONE DOWN SIDE: the bottom edge of the unit is angled... so it will slide over the lip on the bottom of an angled keyboard or laptop platform. This unit screams out to be used at an ergonomic angle! So I ended up lightly "clamping" it onto my Samson LTS50 Laptop Stand. Not necessary if the bottom edge was just rectangular.

Good for programming various daws might eliminate some through daw program functionality
First off it works well with fl studios. I was expecting to have to program all component meticulously but it’s seems to integrate great with fl studios. The product is the control part of the panorama line with the p4 and p6 being additional keys pads and other slight tweaks to the controls. I think most peoples problem going in with this product is that info on the products info being so scarce. But once you get through that the product has potential. I think the general consensus with this products is it potential to increase workflow and and intricate soundscapes with this product and as a plug-in control board. It’s intricate macro placement will make your time at the desk much more control and the ability to compete with deep integrated products or just general macros. It’s switch in internal to shape your plugins with faders encoders oscillation etc. to give your soundscape advanced shaping on the spot. The one problem I have with the device is the missing mechanical fader for master volume which the p4 and p6 have. It’s deeply integrated with reason so that’s a plus for people but when you get your head around using in the daw I use it’s seemly a very good macro and mixer controller. Ableton logic or garage band I’m not sure. I don’t know if the east programming in fl studio for this device will will translate with those daws. Great for production and live pick it up it’s a great piece of hardware

Not user friendly.
This product isn't even remotely intuitive. I saddle up and settle in with any instructions with all gear that I aquire. This thing is a puzzle that had me upgrading firmware and other nonsense. Never got it to control anything in 3 separate daws. Good luck!

I love this Naktar panorama 1 kontroler
I am movie composer and used to worked with different Kontroler each one of them has some good side and bad, but since I got last week this Naktar, I saw the different from German company and other. First. They have excellent support after I installed drive, I realized one part of Naktar is working, as soon as I email the support the sent me and email with link and enough information to install the driver, after I installed the driver correctly start to work perfectly. I recommend to all music lover and composer to get this for them work flow.

Well thought out Midi controller that provides that hardware like tactile experience to applicable DAW's and VST plugins. The Panorama controller comes pre-configured (see product website for configured DAW's/plugins). Just press the appropriate button mix/instrument etc and have hardware control. Plus this advanced midi controller features a clear visual display ,move a controller (knob/slider/button) and you'll see visual feedback providing info on the parameter that controller is has been assigned to. The Panorama also has some nice additional features that aid in music production.e.g. A button/ page display for quick access to user assigned controls , simple sequencer , among many other elements to interact with the DAW. Whilst there is a lot of hype about buying analog technology within the industry. Midi controllers that provide a more traditional, hands on playing experience, combined with the huge diversity of digital instruments and effects available (VST etc ,many for free) ,give the musician a unrepresented choice, without needing a large studio, bank balance and also saving some of the resources that go into making all our products.

Should have bought a Nektar controller sooner. It's the integration with the host that makes the difference.
