Buy It
Easy to use. Makes working on everyday projects much easier. Sanded down some fence pickets, sanded down some edges on plastic numbers, and sanded a drywall patch. Easy.

Works Great!
A little heavy if you are using it to sand several window frames which means holding it up for minutes at a time. But for flat horizontal sanding it is great.

Hard to Beat the Price, But the Dust is Real
At this price point, I’m not expecting perfection. I’m expecting a tool that turns on and sands wood. On that front, the **WEN 6313** delivers. It’s a solid, competent little unit. The 12,000 OPM motor has plenty of kick for finishing work, and the metal clamps are surprisingly robust—they actually hold the sandpaper tight, unlike some of the plastic clips you see on budget tools. But...The dust collection is the weak link. The Bag catches *some* dust, but a lot of it is still going to end up in the air (and on you). And the Port (If you plan to hook this up to a shop vac) heads up: the dust port isn't a standard size. You'll likely need an adapter or some duct tape engineering to get a tight seal. Bottom line - For a weekend project or occasional use, this is a no-brainer. It gets the job done without breaking the bank. Just make sure you wear a mask, because the "dust collection" is really just a suggestion. The Good - Incredible bang for your buck, the metal clamps are a nice touch, consistent sanding speed. The Bad - The dust bag is underwhelming. The connection to a vacuum is a headache. Overall A capable tool for the price. It’s not a high-end Bosch, but it doesn’t pretend to be. Recommended.

Great product!
It arrived on time and when I took it out of the package I knew it was quality. It only comes with one sanding pad so you will have to purchase some extra pads which Amazon will recommend for you. Also it comes with a bag that you apply to the back of the sander that will catch the dust which is amazing. I love it I am going to have such an easy time standing down my table. FYI are also purchased the stain and the top coat for my table from Amazon as well so you can get everything you need right here but definitely start with this sander because it will save you time and money. Fitbits right in your hand, it's definitely durable and the fit is great because it's small enough to store almost anywhere. Great design idea.

For the price, an excellent buy!
I was unsure if it was a great idea after reading other reviews, but I have had no problems with this. It is easy enough to fabricate new dust bags (if you are handy with a sewing machine) , and as far as using regular (non Hook-n-loop) sandpaper, the clips actually do hold pretty well - although you need to take a little more time to get first edge just barely under one clip so as to have enough room to clip the other end of paper in. I fabricated a hole punch out of scrap plywood and some #12 drywall screws screwed through and tips cut off to match holes in the included piece of 60 grit paper, so, fit up your standard paper in the clips, place one edge of platen up against template and press down, and my home made punch makes the holes perfectly so the dust collection works great too.. I see no reason at all to even want to buy expensive hook and loop sandpaper for this sander, so it turns out to be an excellent buy. Has seen a lot of use so far in the wood shop, and very pleased with it.. considering the price of a new one, given the amount of hours it seems to have lasted, it's a pretty great deal for a budget minded woodworker.. (or someone trying to build up a small business shop on a shoestring, like me) So far all of my Wen brand purchases have left me entirely satisfied, so I'd have no problem recommending them, with the asterisk that these ARE cheap tools, so don't expect professional quality out of them... but they do the job they are needed to do.

Some issues!
The sander itself seems to work well, however! Other reviews are correct in that the 1/3 sheet of sandpaper (if you are not using the hook and loop paper) does not stay on because the clamps that hold the paper are set too far back. The clamps cannot grip the paper tight enough. When you turn the sander on, the paper vibrates off. The other issue is the dust collector. When used alone, it fell off the sander because it does not have a twist lock to hold it. Also, the vacuum attachment is a strange size diameter. I tried 3 different vacuum hoses, and none fit. If these 2 issues are acceptable to you, the sander is probably good for you. Hence, 3 stars

One of the best deals out there in power tools!
Like others who have commented, I have several sanders of different types. My brother 'borrowed' my 1/4 sheet sander last year and I decided to move to a 1/3 sheet tool for a new workbench project. I own mostly DeWalt and Kobalt power tools and prices for a 1/3 sheet sander were 2-3x what this sander cost. But I was hesitant to buy a cheap Chinese product - it turns out that Wen power tools are made in Illinois and have been for over 70 years. I just hadn't heard of them before Amazon. My old palm sander doesn't have ejection holes for dust, so I didn't think about that feature. I used porous, anti-clog sandpaper to remove a bad paint finish from a nice piece of ply. The whole process took less than five minutes, but what surprised me was the dust collection. Those holes moved the paint dust right into the collector and filled it lickedy-split! I didn't even need a mask, it was so efficient! Three days later, new paint finish rolled on like butta. And the sandpaper is reusable, so I couldn't be happier about the cost-effectiveness of this sander. The handle is comfortable and the motor is strong enough for paint removal, so I'm good. If this tool only lasts a year, I will still have gotten more than my money's worth. Go Wen!
