awesome!
Works fantastic! Super cool novelty, and useful too! I had to press in the brass collet that holds the base of the incense cone/log a little, as it loosened up after the first couple incense pieces went through it, but no trouble at all, super quick simple fix. Would gladly purchase again, and recommend to friends! Paine Products makes solid and unique little items that are awesome! The incense smells like a campfire or wood stove, and it is a warm comforting scent. Buy one, you won't regret it!

It’s a xmas keepsake that I can leave out all winter!
I love the traditional log cabin and the smoke billowing out the chimney. I don’t care much for the scented “logs” that came with it; but I’ll just buy some other incense cones !

Great Log Cabin, Not So Great Cedar Insence!
I love this log cabin insence burner! I love it so much this is the second one I have bought so I could have one in another area of my home. It's quite lovely and homey and we love watching the smoke come out the chimney. The only issue I have is with the cedar insence cones. The first cabin I bought came with balsam fir short, fatter sticks and we loved them so much we bought a box of 72 balsam fir sticks. They smell wonderful and burn very nicely. I can't say the same for the cedar insence cones. I don't recommend them at all! They come attached to each other and you must carefully break one off, which is difficult as they crumble and break VERY easily. I managed to break the first one off whole, but, even though I was handling it VERY carefully, the cone crumbled in half. I broke off another and managed to light it before it broke too (it still crumbled some in my hand). It doesn't fit into the hole in the cabin, so I placed it on top of the metal ring and watched it carefully. It burned VERY quickly and my family was not impressed by the scent (very light) like they were by the balsam fir. The good news is the short balsam fir sticks fit in this cabin perfectly and we already have a box of 72! (Just a warning-Don't buy the 2" balsam fir sticks for the cabin! They are too skinny and won't stand up in the hole in the cabin, although they are lovely for burning in a different holder and are exactly the same as the short, fatter balsam fir sticks, but for their dimensions. I would give the cabin 5 stars, but I would give the cedar insence cones 1 star.

Love the scent and the cabin....but was very disappointed in the cones sticking together =(
I had one of these back in high school, and loved it. I had completely forgot about it, and saw something that made me remember, so I quickly went on Amazon and found it, of course! I was SO excited to use it, and was sadly disappointed. The smell is exactly how I remember it (I bought the cedar ones), but the cones.....they stick together like crazy. It basically looks like sawdust clumped together into small cones, and you're supposed to break them apart...only they don't break apart into individual cones for the most part. Usually, you get one and a half cones....and then you have to try and fit them into the circular holder meant for one....which is basically a fire hazard. My husband is a firefighter, and got pretty nervous every time I would do that. I haven't owned one of these since the mid 80's, so maybe I've forgotten over time...but I really don't remember them sticking together back then. The smell is great, the cabin is adorable, but the cones sticking together is a huge disappointment. I may have to look around for something else.

Nostalgic
We use to have one years ago when I was a kid. I can still remember walking into Sears in downtown Chicago and there was a special stand they would put up for Christmas just to sell the log cabins. It brings back memories and the smell is exactly the same. This one, however, is made much nicer than the one I had growing up.

Shoddy. Not good enough quality to bother with. Fire hazard.
This little house is terribly put together. Very shoddy. There was tape wrapped around the whole thing and now you can see where the tape was on the roof. The place you put the incense is only a small metal ring with the inside being wood which is a fire hazzard. Some incense can get very hot underneath. I've been considering sending it back. If not I'll have to put a quarter in there or something to put the incense on. This is nothing like the little incense house that I had when I was a child. That one was very well made compared to this. Not worth getting. Update: I tried to light one of the pieces of incense and even after burning for a while, it went out pretty quickly and the little it did smoke, it smelled terrible. Really, really wish I hadn't waited my money.

Non starter
The incense cones do not fit into the provided hole in the bottom of the cabin. I have to sand every cone before it can be placed into position to burn. 🔥
