would this make a good small game sknning knife? if not, what are some other neck knives that are good for skinning for less then like $30

Much better as a skinner, though a little heavy for a neck hanger is the MTech MX-8035 with a 3-3/4" curved blade and a 7" length - very solid in the hand and only $16. Also, for about $16, is the Schrade SCHF-57, with a 2-5/8" blade, 6-1/4" length - more cure than this MTech, but less than the MX-8035. Heck, for $32, you can buy both, put one on your belt and the other in your backup kit!
