Remember to power the transmitter. **Q: What is the latency end to end? I am experiencing lip sync issues when putting audio through this extender. Can you please advise. Thanks** A: It’s specified for up to 500ft. I recommend checking the amplifier settings. For example if your using a Sonos amp you have the ability to manage the lip sync settings. Most AV Receivers also have these settings. **Q: If the input is optical, can the output be coaxial?** A: Coaxial and optical can be output at the same time. **Q: Can these be used with ethernet powerline adapters?** A: No, this can only transmit audio through an Ethernet cable. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what I needed in a pinch *by T***E on June 25, 2021* We had a project where we conducted a full rewrite of a house for audio and visual. They originally had coax running for their digital audio, and for some reason didn’t think through the audio piece as they had their receivers in the basement. We though we could run the audio through the Arc Channel, but turned out their receiver was a lot older than we expected and thank god we found this device. We always run three Cat6 cables to our TV locations (Ethernet, HDbaseT Video, and one for control/aux/backup). We used the third for this device and it was able to bring the optical audio from the basement about 90ft to the 5.1 surround audio in the Livingroom. The sound quality would be better if it was a direct connection however unless your an audio officinato you wouldn’t tell the difference. Remember there are two options coax and optical connections and there is a little switch on the device to make that selection. Almost had a heart attack when it didn’t work and saw that I needed to hit that switch! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Emits a high pitch sound while powered on. *Update Unit was replaced and works great now. *by A***R on September 19, 2022* The product works as expected, except for the high pitch whine emitted when powered on. Maybe I just got a bad unit, but I would not recommend this product for this reason.
