We have loved all our green toys so far! These are perfect for bath time, play time, I think they would be great for outdoor water play (pool or lake) but haven't tried either. They are very sturdy. They are able to open up to clean or dump water out and you can see inside to make sure they are clean as well. I huge plus for water toys. The tug boat looks more difficult to open and I haven't needed to try it yet. The submarine easily (for an adult) opens at the top.
