First i want to say that I have bought this poppyseed cake many times over the years from Stern's. Most of the time it was perfect except for a couple times when the filing was very scant but still edible. This last order on the other hand had the top crust/dough area smelling and tasting like burnt oil. If you take the top dough off then the bottom part was ok. I don't know how it got thru quality control cuz you can smell the rancidity of it! As with another reviewer I would have liked to have a way to contact the seller before leaving a bad review but that does not seem to be an option at all. I even tried to do it thru the Stern's Amazon store but no contact info there. I would appreciate either a refund or the cakes to be replaced.
